What Healthy Dieting Is All About
Healthy dieting for weight loss is dieting that does not end up affecting your overall health in any way. The fact is that there are people who pick fad diets that end up harming their health. For instance whereas it is advisable to reduce your carbohydrate intakes to lose weight, it is not advisable at all to cut the food group completely out of your diet. You simply have to choose healthier carbs and take them in the right amounts so you balance out calories in and calories out.

5 Steps to start your fitness journey...
5 steps to start your fitness journey...
Step 1: Change your attitude...
Your attitude is everything when it come to starting your journey. You are you and whatever negative feedback any one gives, it should be motivation to make yourself better. Without the right mind set, the next four steps are going to be very difficult to follow.
Step 2: Set goals...
Goals are extremely important in any aspect of life. They give you something to work towards and gives you a sense of fulfillment once they are accomplished. You can set short term goals to help you work towards your long term goal.
Step 3: Be prepared...
Being prepared will help you achieve your goals. Some way to help you stay prepared is to write down your meal plan, your workout routine for the week, specific muscle groups you want to hit on specific days, etc. Make sure you know what you are going to do for the day or even the week and stay focused on your goals... You have to adjust your preparation list according to your goals and available time.
Step 4: The dirty work...
This is the most physical step in the process. The dirty work is actually getting up, being active, and eating healthy. Without this step, your goals are going to be difficult to accomplish. Many people do not like this step, but it ties back into your attitude. Always remember your goals and why you started.
Step 5: Self-discipline...
Without this step, any long term goal can not and will not be accomplished. Once you change your attitude, set goals, prepare yourself, and are willing to get up and do the dirty work, that is when you must maintain all of these steps. Do not be the one to start something and quit because it is too hard or you do not like waking up early or eating healthy. You are in control of your mind and your body. Also, do not let others hinder your route to success. If you have to stay in one night while your friends are partying, than stay in. If you have to turn down delicious home made chocolate chip cookies, than turn your head. Of course, it is not terrible to go out or eat unhealthy foods, but do it in moderation. Go out every once in a while, or instead of eating a whole batch of cookies, just have one or two.
P.S. Never think of changing your life as a job you do not like doing. Find ways that YOU like to workout and find ways that YOU like to eat healthy. It will make our whole experience more enjoyable.
*** If you are willing to implement these steps into your life and stay dedicated to it, it is my promise that you will see improvement in all aspects of your life. Even beyond your fitness journey ***

Hi everyone, my name is Michael DiBlasio. I am 18 years old with a crazy passion for health and fitness. My story began my senior year of high school playing football for the Brick Dragons. I experienced a season ending knee injury that required major reconstructive surgery. I can honestly say it was the worst few months of my life. After extensive rehabilitation, I finally gained the strength to get back into the gym. However, going from 197 pounds to 160 pounds, I was weak and depressed. I almost quit because my attitude towards life was negative. I felt that nothing mattered anymore and that there was no point in trying. I eventually changed my mind set and started creating goals for myself, which was the best decision of my life. I am now working towards my personal training certification and getting a college degree.
My biggest goal is to share my story and motivate as many people as possible. I want others to gain the strength to make a change in their lives as I did! Life is filled with obstacles and you must make the decision to overcome them...
Please help me get my name out there and change lives!
