Emergency commissions - let me draw your dnd character!

I need to pay rent. I don't have any fancy ref sheets for y'all but here's the basics:

Turnaround time = roughly one month. Payment is up front.

Basic rendered headshots $25

(Second one is a wip but I lost some of my old art files, so I don't have many examples of my work. Character on left has a facial difference with some adjustments to anatomy and character on right is meant to look ashy.)

Fullbody sketch: $35, colored sketch $40

Rendered fullbody: $50

If you're interested in a rendered half or fullbody, I'm happy to show you some of my finished work. But I only ever finish commissions or gift art, and I don't have permission to post any of it.

Character designs: Price is on a case-by-case basis, but I love doing them.

Furries, mecha, and explicit sex are out of my wheelhouse. I'm very comfortable drawing adult nudity and nsfw. Character wise, I'll draw anything. Fanart, ocs, ttrpg characters, whatever your heart desires. Very complicated designs(lots of embroidery, complex weapons or props) will cost extra.

'Tis the season to unpack some stuff about Christmas from a minority perspective:

Christmas is a Christian holiday. The fact that many celebrate it in an irreligious way (which is valid!) does not change its origins, connotations, symbolism, nor what it has historically meant for religious minorities.

The idea that Christmas is "secular" (read: neutral) is a product of Christian hegemony and the blindness of many in Christian countries to the permeation of Christianity as "default" culture.

When someone says they don't celebrate Christmas since it's a Christian holiday, it is not actually reassuring or helpful to say something along the lines of "oh well it's just a secular day of family & presents for everyone! So you can celebrate it too!"

Though the above statement is usually well-intentioned, it is often distressing to hear because it is untrue and is erasing our lived experiences. The reflexive effort to make Christmas universal is a cultural reverberation of the millennia-old evangelizing effort to make Christianity universal, and as such, can be very uncomfortable for religious minorities.

I’ve noticed something with accommodations / recommendations for disabled people who use specific aids or are in specific situations(so like. Wheelchair users or bedbound people) and they just kind of assume that it’s the same as an able bodied person who spends all their time in a wheelchair or spends all their time in bed. Rather than a disabled person whose disability continues to affect them

like those lists of "exercises for bed bound people" when most bedbound people are bedbound for a reason. my bed mobility exercises, the ones i'm supposed to do while lying down, are the ones that make me the most dizzy and exhausted and lightheaded. if i were still at my lowest point, like i was back in november/december? i remember seeing a list of exercises for bedbound people back then, and i got really upset because i didn't even have the strength to shrug my shoulders. i was getting dehydrated because i didn't have the strength to lift my water bottle to my mouth. when i'm having a Bad Day(tm) an d have to spend the day in bed? i'm basically floating between sleep and wake, and can't even form a coherent sentence due to fatigue/brain fog.

or how so many ramps rely on having insane upper body strength, when most wheelchair users have disabilities that affect the entire body. and even with paraplegia, which is stereotyped as "totally fine from the waist up", spinal cord injury usually causes severe chronic pain that affects a person's entire bodymind.

or like "self defense for wheelchair users" that is the same as "self defense for an able. bodied person who is sitting down" rather than "self defense for a person with chronic pain, fatigue, joints that don't work, limited range of motion, brain fog" etc that is yknow. the reality of the vast majority of wheelchair users

They will almost always Reverse the Decision very shortly rather than admit that the committee is made of low paid H.S. hello everyone, i am a physically disabled queer artist trying to handle medical costs, bills, and food for me and my similarly ill boyfriend, as we have basically no support net. the bills keep popping up every time we think we can store more than a hundred dollars or so so i'm opening up commissions. here are some examples, more details under the read more (tl;dr $20/hr, 1 hr per image minimum, some discounts possible)

my going rate is hourly at $20/hr, with a minimum of 1 hour per image. images that are more specific or complicated will generally require more hours. people requesting mecha, monsters, environments, or stuff for a tabletop campaign can reap the benefits of a 25% discount (to $15/hr). if you would like to request a large (> 4) quantity of images or are on a tight budget we can discuss bulk discounts and/or charity cases.
