i have a bilateral lower limb difference, that's like mostly what this blog is about. i get around easiest in a wheelchair but i'm ambulatory with crutches and/or braces. tbh that's already more than anyone online needs to know

Apparently some people still need to hear this so: using an 'ai checker' is still using ai. If you are feeding someone's fic to one of these checkers, you will still not be sure their fic is ai because they are not 100% accurate, but you can be 100% sure that you are using ai. For fic. Furthermore you are doing the work of an ai scraper for them. You are, personally, feeding the machine. There is no actual excuse for using an ai checker on fanfic as a hobby. YOU are the problem.

If you think a fic is ai, mute it and move on. That's it. That's all you do.

when you're disabled and unable to work or be in education due to that disability people will literally say to your face that your life has no purpose btw.

disabled people's privacy also extends to other disabled people. like you might also be disabled but asking a stranger who uses crutches why they use them isn't wildly different from an abled person asking that. commenting on someone's wheelchair can still be insensitive if you're also disabled. and sharing the fact that you're disabled and have health problems doesn't mean someone else has to reciprocate. sometimes disabled people don't want to be singled out for what immediately sets them apart from everyone else, no matter who is doing that or what their intentions are
