Siempre he buscado fotografiar lo que no comprendo, lo que no entiendo. Recorrer las calles es siempre un ejercicio de observación constante, de aprehensión del espacio urbano más alla de lo obvio, y fotografiarlo ayuda a responder las preguntas que ese recorrido genera. Lo que busco es plasmar en imágenes lo que la fotografía me ayuda a comprender de la ciudad y proponer esa forma subjetiva de verla, en un mundo donde todos podemos mostrar “nuestra ciudad”.

Registro en la ciudad de Caracas, entre el 2013 - 2020.

Documentar el caos caraqueño, la ciudad como parte de mi misma. La búsqueda era construir una franja de imágenes que hablaran de identidad, memoria, la necesidad también de manifestar las posturas, cuerpos en este lugar, también mi lugar, de donde vengo, Caracas. Y como toda la información contenida en un territorio se transfigura y se crea en las personas como una cultura. El registro de nuestra propia pequeña locura. Desde el 2013 estoy haciendo este trabajo, la cámara como una extensión de mi cuerpo, por las calles de Caracas. Dibujando sobre la piel de la ciudad, con su propia luz, sus propias formas, buscando expresarla, manifestarlas. Nos fundimos en ese juego kamikaze. Ella acabo dibujandome, yo solamente la retrataba.
