How to make you own Chia Squeeze
Ingredients:
Half a cup of chia seeds
Any fruits or vegetables that you want to use to flavor your chia seeds
1 tbsp. of agave
2 cups of water
Supplies:
Blender
Medium-sized cooking pot
Spoon
Directions:
Wash your fruits/vegetables.
Place the fruits/vegetables, water, and agave into the blender and blend them into a puree. (You can taste the puree at this point to check if it is sweet or flavorful enough. If it isn't to your liking you can add more fruits/vegetables or agave.)
Once the puree tastes the way you want it to, pour it into the cooking pot along with the chia seeds.
You can now heat your chia squeeze on medium heat until it begins to boil. It is important to mix your chia squeeze often while it heats up because the chia seeds will very easily stick to the pot.
Once your chia squeeze has begun to boil, lower the heat to the lowest possible setting while it thickens as the chia seeds are hydrated.
After your chia seeds are hydrated you can remove your chia seeds from the stove and allow them to cool. (If you want them to cool faster, you can put your chia squeeze in the refrigerator)
Once your chia squeeze has cooled down you can enjoy a delicious, home-made, and very healthy snack!
This recipe can also be used to make a chia drink by adding more water.
