like, I agree that voice actors should be paid more, and the fact that she was offered only 4k to voice the main character of an entire game is stupid and ridiculous.

her old homestuck tumblr is @urbananchorite and if you look through it you can find that she has reblogged nsfw art of minors (the homestuck characters were 13-16 at the time and they seem to be depicted as such in the fanart). i don’t know her exact age but on her blog she mentions that she was in her twenties when she was active in the homestuck fandom, so i think it’s safe to say that she was an adult when she was creating and consuming this content. it’s also evident that she was friends with @roachpatrol, who has had many callouts for drawing child porn and sexualizing minors. there is also other disturbing content on muir’s blog, such as her reblogging fanart of sibling incest, defending incest shipping, defending her decision to have a lesbian fall in love with a man in her fanfiction, and defending rape kinks. im not gonna link to it but if you search the blog it’s there. it’s several years old but since she says she’s not ashamed of this behavior i think it’s still worth pointing out.

i’m not making this post to ruin muir’s career, i doubt it’ll have much of an impact anyway, but i was planning on reading her book and i know a lot of others were too, but i definitely don’t want to do that now that i have learned this information about her. i’m not looking to start a witch hunt or seeking attention, i just think readers ought to be aware of this information.

I want to make it known that it does not take a lot of digging to find this. A friend of mine expressed extreme concern after clicking on the link the author gave on Tumblr and I felt it right to call attention to it since I know many enjoyed her book.

Further context to note that Tamsyn was highly aware of the content she was writing. When she posted the [fic] on [live] journal she said “age gap kink”.

Below this is the screenshot. It reads: He romances the hell out of her. And then uses to top her hard (and she likes it). (Uh… And I guess age gap kink too? I really don’t know.)
