Manifesting in your house
do you ever just?? daydream about dating a soft, pretty witch??? living in a house full of rescued pets and keeping an herb garden together???? reading each otherâs tarot cards and helping each other write new spells????? curling up on a cold winter night and reading to each other from your favorite books while you sip herbal tea?????? making out under the full moon??????? can you imagine????????
Noah Fence, but I have long lost my ability to even listen to the advice of non-religious people telling religious lgbtq+ people to just âleave their religion,â as if religion to us is merely just a set of traditions and steps we follow that we can step out of at any moment. Like our religion is a cage, trapping us inside, and we desperately need to escape it so that we can live a better life.
It never has been a cage. Itâs never been God pressing His hands down on me, or casting me aside, no. It has never been God telling me that He hates me. It has never been God telling me that I am not redeemable. It has been people. Fallible humans telling me those things and oppressing me- not God.
âLeaving Christianityâ has never been an option- not because anyone has ever forced me to stay, but because I want to stay. Yeah, there are a lot of Christians who want me to leave- or think I never was with them in the first place. Who think I donât belong here. But God wants me to draw near to Him. Those people can never take that away from me. They canât pull me away from God.Â
It wasnât my religion- it wasnât my God who made me feel rejected and alone and scared and hate myself. It was people. Fallible people who have hurt me.Â
I just wish those non-religious people would take a second to understand that.Â
We really are a police state.
Itâs worse than that. That wasnât a rubber bullet, that was another tear gas canisterâyou can see it a few seconds later in the footage when the camera pans over to the advancing cops.
And they shot him in the crotch with it.
If I were feeling charitable Iâd say that the cop who fired the shell was aiming for center of mass and miscalculated the distance and hit the guy low.
But Iâm not feeling charitable. Itâs clear that was a deliberate malicious attack designed to hurt the guy as badly as possible with the weapon at hand. The goal was to cause him pain and intimidate bystanders.
this really is dystopic, isnât it?
Shout out to the dude who came and helped him up
THIS IS WHY YOU BLACK BLOC. WHEN EVERYONE IS MASKED AND IN ALL BLOC, IT MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE POLICE TO TARGET INDIVIDUALS LIKE THIS
MASK UP, COME IN BLOC, BE PREPARED, YOU. COULD SAVE SOMEONES LIFE
Also get to know your street medics and maybe buy them a drink later. Theyâll often be the ones picking you up and making sure youâre good after this shit happens
I know The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina gets a lot of stuff about witchcraft wrong, but Sabrina chanting âIf I am truly cursed today let water wash the hex awayâ while in the shower is probably one of the chillest purification spells have ever seen
Things That People Have Said To Me Since I Started Working In A Yarn Shop
âi need more of the rowan felted tweed, iâm making some first-world-war balaclavas and iâve run outâ
âiâm making my husband an x-files themed jumper for christmas and i canât find a good colour for the spaceshipâ
âdo you have any wool/acrylic blends on sale, iâm making hats for the seamenâs mission to give to sailors and i know they say to use acrylics because theyâre cheap but it gets awfully cold at sea and i worryâ
âi need some black wool for gloves, but it has to be flame-proof because iâm making them for the beltane fire-jugglersâ
âcould you see if you have another copy of this pattern for a baby shawl, iâve knitted it in different colours for all of my six children and twelve grandchildren but itâs started to fall apart a bit"
[from a blond, six-foot surfer dude]Â âyeah, do you have any really light needles, iâm going backpacking around argentina and i want to do some socks while iâm on the coach but there isnât much room in my rucksackâ
âwhich of these colours do you think would be best for a knitted corgiâ
âdo you have any patterns for dog hatsâ
like honestly you donât even understand how happy this makes me, like half the time these women are really self-deprecating about it - âoh this is probably a really silly questionâ, âyouâre going to think this is really weird but -â - and iâm just like no!! this is amazing!!! yes, we do have patterns for dog hats!!! please tell me all about why youâre knitting a dog hat!!!!Â
and i mean, some of the stuff they make is unbelievable. thereâs one lady who knits wedding-ring shawls, these enormous lace shawls they do on shetland thatâre about six feet across and made out of yarn thatâs basically thread, which you can pull through a wedding ring because theyâre so fine. and thereâs another lady who knits dolls about three inches tall and sheâs like eighty and sheâs done maybe two thousand of them and i found this out yesterday when she came in for a pattern for an entire knitted nativity scene, including the animals and the star. and thereâs all the ladies who knit clothes to donate to the refugees and tiny, tiny clothes for premature or stillborn babies at the maternity unit and hats for the seamenâs mission and jumpers for the homeless, and all the ladies making this incredible stuff for their friends or their relatives or just because they feel like it, and itâs just, theyâre my favourite, every single one of these people is my favourite

fun funeral facts
embalming, the process of chemically preserving a corpse, is typically not required by law. unless you need to transport the body long-distance or postpone the burial, itâs 100% a vanity thing.
a body still rots in air-tight conditions. so âprotectiveâ or âsealedâ caskets are basically a scam, and anything fancy like metal is a waste of money.
want a beautiful casket for a viewing, but think burning or burying an expensive piece of hardwood is a waste of money and trees? rentals exist.
you donât need a coffin for cremation. the minimum requirement is that the body be in a âcremation container,â which is a simple cardboard box.
home funerals are an option. you donât need to hand the body over to a funeral home, and you can keep their involvement to a minimum.
natural burial sites exist. you can have your unembalmed body straight up thrown in the dirt to be tree food, if you want.
there are a lot of funeral homes that will prey on your ignorance and vulnerability in order to get as much money out of you as possible. they may imply optional certain services are legally mandatory, steer you away from cheaper options, charge additional costs for whatâs supposed to be all-inclusive services, etc.
one personâs death is another personâs profit. know your rights, do your research, and apply the same scrutiny you would to any other business.
For those of you interested, the youtube channel Ask A Mortician does a lot of videos on taboo death subjects, answers questions and is a huge advocate for natural burials and being present during the actual funeral process so you donât get taken advantage of by the funeral industry. Sheâs one of my favourite youtubers and I highly recommend her videos.
