reading phm before watching the movie (i know i know im late to the party) because i got curious about it after seeing all the edits and fanart, i wasn't ready for it to give me this just on chap 3, and i mean i was actually struggling to continue on because of the science stuff even if i get the gist of half the sht, but this? then i remembered all the animals that have died in space, oh my face was leaking so bad i think rocky would be concerned.

to be able to accommodate these people because you weren't sure about their religion, saying 'i commend your body to the stars' so that even in the vast darkness of space they get a send off, that is kindness through and through.

i started the show thinking 'oh it's about a restaurant so that means i get to see them cooking and loving to make good food!' (i love movies/series where they cook okay sue me its so satisfying) ONLY TO BE SLAPPED AND DROP KICKED THEN A NUCLEAR DROP OF SEEING MYSELF IN CARMEN BERZATTO actually scratch that, IN ALL OF THE BERZATTO SIBLINGS.

michael with how he pushed people away because he knows its bad and is getting bad for him.

natalie with how she tries and tries and tries to keep her family together in peace at the expense of her own.

richie with how he doesnt want to let go of the restaurant because if it disappeared then that means things are now getting real and how he feels like he is not good enough for the change.

and carmy, with how he was kept in the dark for most things, for leaving to learn more about making and creating a restaurant that makes good food and memories, his destructive way of pushing and pulling people away, with doing the plan he had with his brother because in that way he had done one good thing that he told his brother he would.

all wounded individuals, wounded siblings, just trying to keep their shit together to create something so beautiful and good.

so what you're gonna do is you're gonna trim the top off a bulb of garlic, using the knife's edge to take off the tip of every individual clove, that's important. you're gonna place the garlic face-up in a square of tinfoil, drizzle with olive oil, wrap completely in foil, place in baking tray, repeat with a copious amount of garlic bulbs. you're gonna put that baking tray in an oven set to 375-400°F, for 30-50 minutes, until soft and browned. you're gonna toast some good bread, slather generously with butter and honey, maybe a tiny lil bit o' salt. and then. you're gonna SQUEEZE. OUT. THAT. ROASTED GARLIC. onto the butter honey toast. and you're gonna eat it. food stolen directly from the plate of the gods. that's what you're gonna do.

We've had normal cooking shows. Now we need period piece cooking shows in character.

dennis gets flirted with by a bunch of lesbians (to which he awkwardly responds “oh i’m not…”), and the whole time trinity is like “wtf, i’m right here??”. it isn’t until a young trans person comes up to trinity and asks about her transition that they realize what’s happening. then they’re both like,
