If you identify as disabled and are 18 or older, you are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Arizona State University! The goal of this study is to better understand how individuals began to identify as disabled and what the identity means to them personally. Participation involves a one-on-one 60-minute interview with a disabled researcher. Interviews will be conducted over Zoom, and participation is voluntary. Hi, I have a lot to say about bein disabled. Do you have to be based in the US to participate?

Unfortunately, yes, this study is limited to US participants at the moment because definitions and understandings of disability are so often tied to government-specific policies or practices. I do want to do an international research study in the future.

As a student researcher, I don't but I can provide documentation of my ASU affiliation and University approval of the study. The professor overseeing this study is Dr. Breanne Fahs.
