What about it? I don't think it's toxic, but I am not an expert. It's also not an allomantic metal in any way. It's not even part of any of the allomantic alloys if I remember correctly.

If you really want to test whether you're a Mistborn, I suggest eating a bit of gold and thinking really hard about your past life choices.

Gold is non-toxic and I have eaten allomantically relevant amounts (on french fries) before. It's the exact same experience as eating regular french fries, just slightly more expensive.
