Reasons to watch Moana...

- Assertive and adorably awesome Polynesian princess (Auli'i Cravahlo is a gift to us)

- Princess who is a competent leader and is respected as one

- The MUSIC. Lush and highlights the Polynesian cultures beautifully. Lots of solid and uplifting numbers.

- The Rock as Maui. The charisma jumps off the screen, and Johnson gets a chance to show off his singing chops!

- The animation is GORGEOUS. I felt like I could reach out and touch the water.

- The cultures showcased in the film are treated with respect and dignity. There is clearly a lot of love poured into this movie, and it shows.

- It doesn’t break new ground story-wise, but it’s a feel-good and earnestly warm-hearted film with a solid message.

- YOU GET TO SEE A DAVID BOWIE-ESQUE DRAG CRAB SING LIKE A DIVA
