Never forget that all human life comes through a womb. genitals are holy and a symbol of life, not lust and taboos that must be hushed.
This is why medieval Christians depicted Christ's side womb to resemble a vulva, this is why gender was ambiguous and played with in mysticism to God.
because Christ is God and God is nor man or woman, but a combination of us all across the board, for we are made in His image! God is the womb of life and we are His fruit, the blood of His wounds poured out like the blood pouring out of womens wombs when they give birth, because in His sacrifice He birthed salvation, the eternal life.
Mary also resembles a vagina in certain images and poses because she is the ultimate lifebringer, She gave birth to Christ, but in that she also gave birth to the eternal life of us all. She is undeniably the Mother of Life and Humanity.
Notice how in a few of these, the icons head is the clitoris, the body is the vuvla, there are even some detailed to mark the urethra. This symbolizes how God and His saints and angels are not only within us, but the source of life in both spiritual living and rebirth, but also physical and literal.
so please; do not demonize female sexuality or any sexuality at all in the name of Christianity, because in the truth of our spirituality; our bodies, our pleasure, our desires, our love, and the power that lies in our wombs is so, so very holy.
