 this  is  wylan  who  thought  he  was  gonna  be  a  girlboss  in  life  but  ended  up  as  a  malewife  instead.  sucks  to  be  him  i  guess

 grew  up  as  the  heir  to  the  former  lord  manderly,  wanted  to  be  a  maester  for  a  while  when  he  was  a  child  and  has  always  generally  been  kind  of  a  book  worm??  not  in  like,  a  super  nerdy  way  (  maybe  a  lil  )  but  he  just  rly  loved  losing  himself  in  stories  and  histories  and  just  …  even  math,  he’s  one  of  those  people  who  enjoys  MATH

 accepted  his  role  as  future  ruling  lord  manderly,  but  also  was  pretty  friendly  with  then  princess  serena  stark.  there  was  a  kind  of  unwritten  agreement  he  was  gna  be  her  hand  of  the  queen  once  she  took  her  fathers  throne,  which  he  felt  really  worked  for  him

 but  i  don’t  let  my  characters  be  happy  <3

 bc  house  manderly  is  one  of  the  richest  houses  in  the  north,  papa  stark  and  papa  manderly  decided  to  betroth  the  two  kids  so  the  manderly’s  could  covertly  help  a  lil  with  those  ~money  troubles~  

 so  wylan  went  from  future  ruling  lord  manderly  &  hand  of  the  queen  to  king  consort,  which  u  would  think  is  an  upgrade  but  damn.  he  is  BITTER

 my  man  is  struggling  to  adjust,  he  feels  very  useless  in  his  new  role  and  is  trying  to  find  power  again,  but  at  the  same  time  also  struggling  with  this  new  dynamic  with  his  wife  and  kind  of  being  an  ass  abt  it  sometimes  too
