I wanted to introduce the locations of this AU in a somewhat familiar format (a process that nearly killed the author in the process), so here they are — location cards with small bits of lore.

Part two of MLPing your Sanses, this time the stars! +Cross

I think Dream and Swap turned out my favorite, I don't think Ink's hair looks how I imagined it would and tbh I didn't have much of a vision for Cross other than him being a pegasus WHICH I WILL RAMBLE ABOUT

Design ramblings:

Dream is a reformed changeling since Nightmare is a corrupted one. I color picked from Divine since hes a lot more colorful than base Dream. Her hair is supposed to be kinda cloud-like (also before anybody gets on my ass about him not looking accurate ITS STYLIZATION do NOT try to explain to me the intricacies of MLP like I don't know cause I KNOW THEM! I WAS THERE!)

Moving on, I think I was originally gonna make Ink a zebra but forgot when I was sketching so I made them a unicorn, then when I went to color them I gave them stripes so hes a unicorn-zebra mix. He can use magic but can't earn a cutie mark (definitely not me just not wanting to design one)

Swap!!! I took inspiration from RahafWabas' human Swap design for the hair (I knew he'd have dreads but I didn't know how to draw or style them) and I gave him one of those star hair clips with the magnets in em :3 also made him super bright and blue

Cross is really a dud here, I think him just having a very limited color palette makes it hard for me to design anything for him. Aside from the colors, I do like the concept I came up with. In this world XGaster would've been an alicorn, and with Cross being his son he thought he'd be born an alicorn but he wasn't. So then his solution was to train him and set him up to earn a horn (like Cadence did in that one book however I'm not sure if thats canon anymore soo :b) but he never did. Thats what would lead to Cross having trouble with being perfect and all that. Having failed XGaster, he becomes a royal guard (hence the royal guard fit)

I've been working on this piece since March (assuming from the WIP I sent you a while back lol) since I didn't want to miss giving you a gift this time (last year I never ended finishing my other piece and felt bad not giving you anything/gen). I had a lot of fun with this one and hope you like it just as much! While I was drawing, I've also written something along with it. It was supposed to be just a small note but ended up being a big letter, lol. So, I hope you'll bear with me through this one:

To Vanuh,

I know I've said this before in the past, but I really want you to know you've been a huge inspiration to me and a positive light online for the past couple years. Back when I first discovered your blog, I've stopped drawing altogether after a fallout with a friend and haven't felt the want to draw in a very long while. Even if it was unintentional and unknowingly, you've brought me out of that hole and gave me motivation to do art again. I don't know how else to express my gratitude and my admiration for you; not only as an artist, but also as a person. Despite what you may say about yourself, you've always seen kind to us and been real, and what I mean by that, even through the small rambles you post–including in the tags–you seem to never be too afraid to speak your mind on certain topics that you want to voice out (ex: AI art, specific creators, small parts about yourself and life, etc). I don't write this to say that I know you like that, but from the perspective of a follower and your doodles and rants, you've become a person I look up to on the internet and as an artist I aspire to be like. Though we not be mutuals, I hope to interact with you more in the future, and maybe get to know you as well (that is if you're comfortable, of course. No pressure/gen). And I say this with the upmost sincerity: Thank you, Vanuh. For being a beacon of light in this world to us (and a wonderful artist, obviously). Thank you for being my inspiration. And thank you for just being, well, you. Just keep being yourself as I know (and others will agree) you're a beautiful person (and I mean that as in your Soul. Pun intended/j).
