as much as I shit on and hate mendel he's actually one of my dream roles alongside marvin.... I don't know it's something about the complexities of their characters and the small things that can either make or break a character. the challenge in their roles is what entices me is what I'm trying to say in a very longwinded way.

One time I was explaining to my dad how unfair it is that every big city has at least a couple gay bars but there are only like 20ish lesbian bars left in the country and he responded with "That's cause gay men have a good party culture. Lesbians don't have time to party, they're too busy debating the sociological implications of things and studying for postgrad degrees" and as much as I wanted to tell him he was out of line for that, as a lesbian who spends all her free time on Tumblr debating sociological implications and messaging other lesbians in discord servers where everyone has a PhD or masters for some reason I felt like I might not be the best person to make that argument

no one talks abt cordelias desire to do more!!! she envys charlottes career, which is blatantly shown multiple times.

cordelia is extremely frustrated when charlotte talks about her career, not because she isn't happy for charlotte, but because she is unhappy in her own line of work. in a day in falsettoland she tells charlotte to stop when shes touching her and is very snippy.

when whizzer gets sick, she visits him and brings him food not only out of compassion for her friend, but because it makes her feel like she is helping, even if not on the same scale as charlotte. she also seeks validation when she has people try her food, during jasons bar mitzvah she asks everyone to PLEASE eat her food.

TLDR WE NEED TO STOP BRUSHING OFF CORDELIA I LOVE HER and everyone who ignores charlotte and cordelia owes me $50
