I already know who our childrens book parents will be...
Dolls have given us an unrealistic image of women.
For example, I found out Russian women do not contain smaller Russian women inside them.
Soon there will be people on the internet that won’t understand this picture.
HAHaH ohhhh Tom.

I loved this show...
…why would they do that??? :(
To make it clear to homophobes what’s going on. Everybody who isn’t a clinical sociopath now realises that anti-Semitism is wrong, but a lot of people still think that being gay is a perversion. If they show what Russia is doing to people like me in a context that people who don’t understand us can see, it will obviously make them more inclined towards the idea that what Russia is doing is wrong. Heck, even if they’re still homophobic, they will better understand the persecution that Putin’s government is making the law. If you understand me. It’s quite a clever technique, although overused, if that was what they were doing. If not it’s fucking odd and screwed up jfc.
That is patently false, tho, just ask the literal millions of antisemites in the world who are just normal, every day folk.
And what does this method say to those of us who are both Jewish AND LGBT, like myself? One part of our identity is only valid as a way to prove a point about the persecution of another part of our identity?
I didn’t say that anti Semitism doesn’t exist. Rather that, given the many travesties that Jewish people suffered in the last century, in order to be an anti-Semite one would have to be mentally unstable.
Judaism obviously serves more of a purpose than to “prove a point". However, as I said, those of us who have a sense of empathy and are intelligent enough to realise that those travesties were wrong see that treatment of Jewish people has been dire. We understand that that should not be repeated ever again, certainly not to Jewish people. The response triggered by use of this technique should be the response triggered by the truth, because the LGBT community suffered a lot in recent years as well and needs to stop being persecuted.
I never said it was a perfect technique, I said clever and implied effective. Which it is.
PS, the majority of psychopaths and sociopaths seem perfectly normal and you most likely interact with them in your life. They’re not all murderers.
Shut the fuck up, you ignorant child. The people who broke my father’s nose because he was a Jew and clearly he should have money on him were not psychopaths, the people who criminalized practicing Judaism well after Orthodox Christianity became okay again in the USSR were not psychopaths, the teenagers who recently dragged a Jewish man into a cemetery and stabbed him to death with an iron cross are not psychopaths, the judge and prosecutor who used anti-Semitic canards publicly in court to sentence a Jewish man to 8 years in prison for a small crime that he was most likely framed for in the first place are not psychopaths, the political commentator who recently retaliated at a Jewish liberal by saying they should make a lampshade out of him was not a psychopath - THESE ARE REGULAR RUSSIAN PEOPLE. Their only pathology is the anti-Semitism that has plagued the country since its fucking inception.
You know why no one was outraged at the above things? THEY DIDN’T EVEN FUCKING KNOW ABOUT THEM. A corollary of that is even if they did know, they wouldn’t care because obviously everyone learned their lesson in the Holocaust and only a crazy wacko would be anti-Semitic!
So what group of people should I replace “Jews" with in articles about anti-Semitic crimes to get you bastards to care? I’m open to suggestions.
The above “satire" may well be true. If you think it’s in any way clever, I fear for your ability to type and breathe at the same time.
Basically don’t even fuck with me on this, I’m a Russian Jew who’s about 200% done with Jon Snow Westerners who know nothing suddenly latching on to the anti-gay legislation in the most ignorant, infuriating ways.
As a Jew whose parents left Russia in the mid 70's, it took me a second to realize this was a parody (my cousin had posted it on my FB page thinking it was real) since it would not surprise me if they did pass this sort of legislation. It would not have surprised me in the least to be perfectly honest. I have non-Jewish relatives who still reside in Russia who make anti-Semitic comments on a regular basis and don't see anything wrong with it. It is "part of the culture" there. Thankfully I do not have to deal with these people. Antisemitism in Russia is not neither new or going away anytime in the near future. That being said, I do think this parody/satire/what ever you wish to call it, is rather brilliant. While I am aware of the situation in Russia regarding the bill banning homosexuality, and I have decried it very publicly, and it has made me more than slightly ashamed of my heritage, when I read that I panicked. I panicked in a way I did not when reading about the anti-gay bill. I was disgusted and infuriated about that bill. But reading it as Jews, it made much more of an impact. This satire did its job. And it did it well. It made the situation much more real and personal. For me.
This is my dog, Lily. My sister and I bought her, without my dads permission and brought her home as a puppy about a year ago. My dad hates her, but me & my 2 sisters love her to death. This dog helps me cope with my depression and shes always great company to my sisters and I. My dad describes her as “tolerable." Today, after having this dog for over a year, my dad is saying she needs to go, while he is angry at us for bringing her home, she has become part of the family and we can’t get rid of her, it’s too painful. After begging my dad for a while, he was still stuck on getting rid of her. I mentioned tumblr as a final option, and surprisingly he agreed to it. If I can get 200,000 notes by the end of July, we can keep her. He thinks it’s impossible, but I have faith. I’ve seen tumblr do it before. Please guys help me, I love this dog more than myself. Please oh please :c
