Ppl being worried about their work being copied is kind of strange to me lol. Like I know a lot of ppl who also sell stuff they make are concerned abt their designs being "stolen" and like...idk if someone asked me how to make the things I sell and they were nice about it even if they said they wanted to make it themselves to sell id probably just tell them as best as I could how I did it. In no small part I do not believe that anyone else could do what I do and therefore they can't be competition to me.

Like you want to copy my fiber art or jewelry? I genuinely wish you Good luck everything is found materials and secondhand and I can't even recreate most of these peices 1 to 1. And if someone were to buy the items new it will not look or feel the same. You want to copy my art? Well I use watercolors and sometimes paper I purchased second hand and collage from damaged books and magazines. Some of the watercolors I have are vintage pigments that can't just be bought anymore. And getting materials secondhand is really important to me so if someone didn't it still wouldn't be the same and we would have different target markets. Which is not even to say anything about like skill and technique. And I dont think I'm the best I thinknif I explained exactly what I do to someone they could end up better than me but it just couldn't be a copy in anyway that matters to me unless someone were to just make prints of my art.

I feel like it is incredibly straightforward that if one accepts that trans masculine people are targeted by erasure that the full scope of other abuses they face will be nigh impossible to accurately quantify. That erasure necessarily means there will be underrepporting and reporting that is classified into other categories.

Anytime you think that you see a low representation of trans masculine people in a statistic it is not necessarily that they are not there

*gently takes my friends and siblings in Christ by the hand* when people call you schizophrenic or psychotic for believing in miracles or mystic experiences, or even just the existence of God, ableism is explicitly and actively at play. They are using the belief that schizophrenic people are untrustworthy, or even dangerous, to insult you. You might be the one being called names, but we are the butt of the joke. Being called ‘schizophrenic’ is not bad. We are not inherently bad. And plenty of us (like me!) are religious. It is far more important to push back against the mere idea that being schizophrenic is insulting than it is to say that being called schizophrenic is anti-religion.

When people use us to insult you, it says more about how they see us than how they view your religion. And if you don’t think poorly of us, what they call you is not longer an insult.

I don’t like how I’m kinda expected to rewrite the first 20 years of my life just because I’m trans. I was the eldest daughter in a black household. I can’t go back and edit my history to say I was the eldest son, cuz that doesn’t accurately convey the certain standards I was held to. I was the only girl in my engineering class. I can’t leave out the “girl” part. It recontextualizes the entire situation. I don’t think either of those facts invalidates my current gender and I don’t think trans people should be expected to rewrite their own history in fear of that

I'm one of those trans people who prefers to refer to child me as a boy instead of as a "girl" but ngl I also struggle with this. How else do I explain the misogyny I experienced in design and technology class (aka. woodwork/metalwork) because I had the 2nd highest grade in class and some of the cis boys couldn't stand that (someone they saw as a) "girl" was doing so well. So they broke my final project, which I had to rush-job fix. I got a lower grade than I was aiming for because of it.

I was not and never will be a girl. But others' perceptions of me did influence my life and it sucks. The context of that childhood misogyny stems from girlmoding at that time (was not out) and suffering the consequences.
