So things have progressed in my mind for my little Ols. The government came by to say hi.
It didnβt go well. They messed up his leg. And his back. They wanted to test the poppy gelβs ability to graft things together for themselves. When he finally gets it off his back, itβs extremely sensitive and he will lash out without thinking. Sleeps on his stomach.

But the boy has officially lost his tail and has officially gained legs.

The way Elliot treated Oliver proves he lacked any real humanity.
He adopted a child who needed a father, a better place, note how Oliver was hinted or confirmed to be abused with a hammer before by, supposedly his biological family, he's already been through so much bullshit. And clearly Elliot knew this because maybe it was mentioned somewhere or Oliver himself told him. Only to butcher Oliver as a "rough draft" to see if science could bring Poppy back. To leave Oliver's discarded remains in a duffel bag shows he didn't even respect the boy enough to give him a proper burial.
He put my baby in a DUFFEL BAG. SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE NOT REALIZING THIS OR LIKE WALKING IT OVER I DON'T SEE IT TALKED ABOUT MUCH. ELLIOT PUT HIM IN A BAG. The way I cried my ass off after realizing this a couple weeks ago you would not believe the state I was in.

I'm dead serious. If you didn't know he was a kid at first, fine. The romanization/fetishization of child sexual abuse is still being popularized months after Chapter 5. Oliver's intellect cannot be allowed as an excuse to ship him with adults/his sibling (what are you people even thinking). That is control, not love. Anyone engaging in this content will be blocked, and I will call you out if you try to defend real-life predators using Poppy Playtime as a scapegoat. I don't care how innocent the writing/fanart seems. It's wrong.
so i was thinking about oliver and had a thought (shocking, i know)
we all know he has an obsession with poppy. i've always called him a familial yandere and i stand by this. but what's interesting is he wasn't ALWAYS that way
all he's ever wanted was a family, to not be alone. and he WAS excited to meet her at first. we learn that much from the tape of him and ludwig talking. but after elliot's death, it seems like he lost interest? because then he started hiding out in playcare and trying to escape with theodore. and any time this incident is talked about, poppy is never mentioned, so i assume she wasn't part of it. meaning he intended to leave playtime as well as poppy. he also had that one escape attempt post being discovered and put in confinement by playcare
but now, he is clearly obsessed with her. which means that, somewhere along the way, something happened to make him change his mind. to make him realize that he actually really cares about poppy and he doesn't want them to be separated. and i really wonder what it was. maybe the phone calls they had with each other and bonded over during that time?
maybe poppy's entire "things will never get better" breakdown is what made him obsessed with this idea of making everything better... and that's why he he also tells her he can make her better π

i'm sorry but the fact that oliver uses voice mimicking and playing back recordings to talk in order to appear more intimidating bc his actual voice is so cute and baby is sso funny to me
