Fuck blueberry waffles, this is the way to go. The bacon bites are a delightful surprise (as you can imagine).

Fancy 6 year anniversary feast at The Black Hoof in Little Italy, Toronto, featuring (from top left) cold smoked and fried sweet breads with raw tuna, cow tongue on brioche with pickled celery, grainy mustard and tarragon mayo. To drink - an earl grey infused gin cocktail with jasmine bitters, lemon and ginger. And for dessert a bruléd polenta cake with citrus, almond cream, and garnished with bee pollen. Not in the picture was a charcuterie plate consisting of horse meat and pork heart sausage slices and patés.

The food was to die for, I'm not even sure what my favourite part was, it was all too good for words to even describe.

Tomato-seafood linguini with shrimp, scallops, and clams. Tomato sauce consisting of a wine and butter base & kalamata and capers paste to subtract from the oh-so-fishy flavours. Perfectly balanced, perfectly served.

Red wine reduced mushroom sauce poured over a juicy rib eye steak, garnished with fried onions. Potatoes served with horseradish sour cream dip. Home made cuisine. Thanks Rys : )

Juicy pork tenderloin with rice and seasoned string beans. With a touch of cinnamon to taste a bit more like Christmas (since parts of Canada is still without snow :s )

Munched out on loaded steak casadillas with salad, very delicious and well complimented.

Polish-style dinner with boiled and lightly fried sausage, simmered sauerkraut, and perogies sautéed in butter. I may not be Polish, but having pure Croatian blood qualifies equally.
