There's a trope in trashy gender bender stories like this that I find fascinating. Womanhood is treated as this naturalizing force... The longer you live as a woman, the more you are a woman at heart, something like that. Someone who's forced to live as a woman actively has to resist getting used to it, or they'll become a woman at heart... We know it doesn't really work like that, because cis people are who they are, and trans men exist. But there is one group that feels more and more comfortable the longer they stay a woman, of course... Trans women. So any time a story pulls this trope out, and a character has to "resist" becoming a woman.... You're already a woman to me, buddy. And if the writer thinks this is how it works, they're probably a woman too.
Gotta get it out somehow, I guess. Repression is a bitch.
"nobody likes a complainer" you say, like an idiot, as if thriving ecosystems of friendships aren't blossoming every day based solely on people vocally disliking the same things in similar ways
*reaches out my hand in love & friendship* come be a Hater with me
I've always had a strange personality... I can't stand being told what to do, so I always end up taking charge myself, striking out on my own... Too selfish and stubborn to follow other people's rules, even when it's smart to do so... There's a desire to think of myself as grandiose and important... Where do these feelings stem from? Is it compensation for insecurity? Is it greed? I stick to the indie sphere because I hate how others get to decide what is "mainstream." I don't want to play along. Instead, I desire to expand my influence, and change what the mainstream even is. I want to grasp power and status without ever compromising myself... Selfish pride.
i posted about my omegaverse pill bottles and how they help me take my bipolar meds more regularly and it became a hit tweet im wheezing
As a pharmacist I support whatever system you use to take your meds, but please make sure not to mix new refills with old pill batches in your bottles; heat suppressants don't work as well once expired

Based on this! :DD
growing up with a psychologist for a mother was so funny because my sister and i would be like “mo-om why do we have to go to bed now” and she would respond with a long explanation of the research on the effects of sleep on the brain and body followed by another explanation on permissive vs. authoritarian vs. authoritative parenting styles, with citations
this was actually really good in some instances though because i started having insomnia and intrusive thoughts very young and when little me was like “mom i don’t like the thoughts in my head but i can’t make them go away and i can’t sleep” she replied with “oh honey. active thought suppression never works. in fact, wegner et al. (1987) tested this when they told a bunch of people to talk about whatever they wanted, and they told half of them to try not to think about a white bear. people thought more about the white bear when they were trying not to think about it! but when they told the people to think about a red car whenever thoughts of the white bear came to mind, the people had a much easier time not thinking about the white bear. so you see, you can’t force the thoughts out of your mind. you just have to let them pass through, and pick something else that you want to focus on”
and so ever since i was a very little kid i knew how to deal with intrusive thoughts, I’ve had them my whole life but never developed ocd or senses of shame about them cause my mom did her phd on thought suppression and she knows what’s up
nah, screw it
orange when every streamer voices her with a really gruff tough guy voice
Did I ever talk abt the time i was at a bdsm club and one of the pups was on all fours and barking and being cute and the dom on scene was like “hi puppy! Do you do any tricks?” And he said “I can beatbox!”
I was like. Doubled over incapacitated laughing the entire time. He was really good and a big sweetheart and I felt kinda bad but I couldn’t stop thinking “why the am I getting the beatboxing puppy unskippable cutscene at the bdsm club”
cool new tumblr trend : “goodposting”
its when you share fun interesting things in a calm and friendly way
goodposting example: hey guys, just fucked a bug
no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just very berrybrained right now. I'm picking and eating blueberries everyday and I can never get enough! I like to imagine that every berry has a whole world in them ✨
I'm so obsessed right now that I spent a week of no sleep designing blue space berry lanterns. It's still just a prototype and needs a lot of refining, but I'm pretty happy with it so far :)
Plus the usual painting timelapse!
Cutest girl in the world!!! 💕
Nuke canada now
Did y'all know that 70% of all mining operations in latin america and the caribbean involve a canadian transnational mining corporation?
Anyway, when I was in college I was constantly going to marches and protests against canadian and saudi mining projects in the Santurbán páramo, one of the most important ecosystems in Colombia in terms of biodiversity, and the source of drinking water of 30+ municipalities in my state, including the city I live in. Ultimately these mining proposals lost their license due to environmental regulations.
But now that our new far-right president elect is looking to suck up to imperial core powers once again, canadian mining corporation Aris mining is interested in re-starting mining projects in Santurbán. Which, would inevitably give cyanide poisoning not only to my city's drinking water, but 30+ other municipalities and indigenous communities.
The imperial core will see one of latin america's veins and go "is anyone gonna cut that open?" and not wait for an answer
Thank you so much to all the smart first-worlders who came here to helpfully inform me that literally nuking an entire country would be bad and have negative consequences for people and the environment. I am but a stupid little foreigner with no capacity for abstract thought or figurative language, I will now abandon my plans to literally nuke the entire country of canada, thank you so much smart first-worlders for educating the ignorant little foreigner about "nuking bad", I have so much to learn from you.
