A canon Jax and the fanfic and AU Jax

I've seen people online discussing and complaining about Jax's gender; some accept it, others don't, some still draw Jax as male or of another gender like non-binary, causing online arguments, and that scares me. But then I thought: what about in fanfiction and alternate universes? Would it be a problem if Jax's version were cis man, cis women, non-binary, gender-fluid? I see some artists and fans still drawing Jax as male, non-binary, gender-fluid or something else, and there are many complaints about it, which scares me and everyone else, and I don't want to see arguments about Jax. I respect the fact that Jax is trans and is the cutest bunny girl I've ever seen, and I don't want Goose and Jax to have to deal with that. I just want to remind everyone that they can create their own Jax not from the canon series, but in fanfiction and AUs.

Jax headcanons:

This is long overdue, so here is my post for my Jax headcanons ✨ More will be added as I think of them.

Reminder that this blog takes place after episode 8, but before episode 9.

Headcanons:

Blog/Au Time Period/Lore: The time period of the blog will sit post episode 9. However, currently, there may be a couple of events/roleplays that happen before it sits post episode 9, so until that happens, it sits post episode 8 and pre Jax abstraction in episode 9. As far the lore goes, it all depends on how roleplays go. But I have two options, either Jax comes out to Zooble, and they keep him from abstracting. Or, Zooble somehow finds a way to bring Jax back from abstraction (in which he'll come out after coming back).

Jax canonically being trans: I don't see him as transfem, but I definitely feel that, based on still having a male presenting name irl, plus his unisex type look, Jax is genderfluid or demi-gender, rather than trans mtf, because (obviously) you can be trans and dress feminine without completly switching genders, as trans is an umbrella term, and completly being female doesn't feel right for Jax's character, especially how I present him, rather, to me, genderfluid feels right. Additionally; Since I mentioned Leeroy, I see him using the nickname "Lee" more times than his actual name, which he'd only really use if he's feeling especially masculine.

Relationships:

Gangle: He likes messing with her, because he sees his weaknesses in her, and takes a more joking approach to treating her how he was treated for his weaknesses.

Zooble: He has a crush on them as much as he tries to push it down and ignore it, but Zooble is slowly helping him open up again, and helping him to accept his feelings, and accept his faults.

Kinger: He doesn't mind him, however he doesn't understand how no one is mad at him for deleting Caine and making the circus what it is now. He also used to like him quite a bit.

Ragatha: He used to be great friends with her, until he lost Ribbit. Then she reminded him too much of the part of Ribbit he avoided.

Pomni: He likes her (as a really good friend), but she reminds him too much of Ribbit, so he has a hard time actually talking to her sometimes, and can't bare to actually open up to her, as much as he knows she wants him to. So he tries to push her away as much as he can. (He did the same with Zooble until they talked it out.)

Caine: He has a deep seated hatred towards him, but is also acutely aware of the power he held over them, leading him to also hold a little fear towards him.

Bubble: He finds Bubble to be weird and annoying.

Kaufmo: He was one of his best friends until he started pushing away from everyone. He regrets that now, and misses him a lot.

Ribbit: Self explanatory in episode 9. (I don't feel like typing all that out, and I really don't have anything else to add to their relationship.)

Post-episode 9 Jax HCS

He doesn't seem to recognize Pomni...But

...somehow he knows that "Pomni" means her...

He seems much calmer since he abstracted...

songs seems to soothe him as well...Just like the other abstractions...

He also is more concerned about Pomni's feelings and will try to purr and cuddle with her to comfort her...Even hug her...

By some kind of miracle, overtime, he can say her name and some words...Although in warbler way...

"POoMNiii...SaAdd?"

"No, Jax...Those are happy years."

"J...JaAAXxx?"

"That's right...That's your name."

When he is calmer or lulled into serenity by songs, his body becomes softer and rounder...

One night, he felt like exploring the Digital Circus after he began preferring the patchwork tent to the aquarium more...So he took a bow and allowed Pomni to climb on his back...and she didn't abstract as well...And as they rode and jumped around, nearly flying...Jax let out a purring sound that sounded like laughter...

Jax likes playing with Zooble's spare parts the most.

And he contemplates Gangle's drawings of them...Seemingly having a dim sense of déja-vu with them. In fact...Gangle often encourages him to remember. And the bully he was to her before has gone away...Essentially, abstraction pulled away the mask of "not caring about others" Jax had. Gangle was a tad intimidated by him...But now, she finds him oddly cute, like a big, dark doggy...scratch that, helldoggy.

But most heartwarming is that he was so happy when he reunited with Abstracted Ribbit. They play like puppies and often cuddle up like kitties...With Kaufmo as well...Queenie watching over them. No hard feelings left.

Who knows if one day, they will return to normal...But Jax is the most promising of all...
