You can’t describe how angry I am right now.
Whenever I see a drawing of Ravenpaw where everything else is canon, his’s black, he’a go his white flash on his chest, his white tipped tail, and for some odd reason he’s drawn with PURPLE FUCKING eyes, I lose my shit.
People are allowed to draw Ravenpaw or whoever however they want becuase the descriptions aren’t that strict, but it is strict when it comes to his eyes! If you draw a canonically not purple eyed cat, considering none of them actually are purple eyed, with those eyes then what am I supposed to think? Rootspring has blue eyes, Violetshine has amber, Ravenpaw has green, and Heathertail has blue eyes that just happen to be a bit on the indigo side because they are described as heather blue, becuas that is a color. And I’d I see one more person jump on the bandwagon of giving Shadowsight red eyes even though it was only Tenelle’s stupid head canon, I am going to beat the shit out of somebody.
I don’t get why some cats will be drawn with purple eyes by the fandom even though it makes no sense. Why even give Ravenpaw purple eyes? People only do that because they see everyone else do it. There is no purpose and I would argue it’s not cute at all! No cat in Warriors has purple eyes and the only cat that had red eyes was an albino cat. Warriors mainly sticks to actual eye colors cats can have. It may not be genetically possible for a lot of these cats to have blue eyes, but some cats can have it in real life. But with purple eyes, cats can’t have that. In Warriors, none of the cats have purple eyes. This isn’t genetics, it is a species trait. So if you draw cats that don!t have purple eyes, with purple eyes, you are literally ignoring cat biology. Also it comes across as you!e just doing it because you want to seem special, and what other way to be special than to be an ignorant cunt.
Ravenpaw does not have purple eyes! You may say it’s a preference, but I say, it is ignorant and really shitty to Ravenpaw’s creator. You are literally ignoring the book to fit your own story without considering that that is plain disrespect to the actual books. And you may say, I do things like this too. My Shadowsight design looks nothing like he should. He’s dark grey, not brown and yellow! But my design is still grey! I still made him a dark grey tabby with amber eyes. I didn’t completely disregard the fucking canon for my own selfishness!
