Eheheheheheheeheheeee figured out Sandfall’s weird emissive/normal map texture combo system and now I can give my custom sword glowing runes

also remapped dualiso’s dagger UVs so the new texture for the main sword didnt screw it up 👌🏻

on the other hand, not sure why the ORM isn’t really rendering…tho as far as I can tell, the vanilla material instance doesn’t have one?? Like there’s a linked texture but it looks solid black in fmodel. Weird

Clair obscur is such a beautifully, amazingly, shockingly detailed game that has tremendous variation in mobs, scenery, and other visuals/staging.

And then also two characters in the ~15 min prologue, one being the protagonist’s love interest and the other his sister, have the exact same face model. And then this kind of asset sharing never happens again. Like??

it just replaces the mesh etc of contorso (fully cosmetic) with that of dualiso bc i wanted to try a contorso-based build but that sword is like. unfathomably ugly

Successfully made my second mod, aka getting my custom sword mesh into the game by replacing Sucreso’s assets. In the process discovered that Sandfall has shared nightmare puzzle textures for their weapons 😑 tbh would rather die than rewrap my sword sooooo sorry everyone else your candy weapons are fucked

sucreso also has a slightly weird color/emissive scheme where it has L/R designations those AND the standalone color/emissive values, and it’s not super clear to me which takes priority. Also trying to figure out how their various texture files affect emissiveness bc I want my custom sword to GLOW dammit 😤

I could watch the Osquio introduction scene a thousand times and it will never get old like Verso is so JOYFUL in it and we never get to see that ;_;

the shared glances with Maelle and Esquie…declaring that it is Osquio who shall be annihilated……..like he’s having so much fun!!
