"We need to recognize that for some people sex is great and for some sex is horrific and for some it’s on par with folding laundry."
(~Sex Isn’t Always Good by queenieofaces)
This is a critical part of sex positivity that tends to be overlooked. Let’s celebrate empowering amazing sex and the choice to not have sex, or only have certain kinds of sex.
In some good news the Transgender rights bill (which would add gender identity & expression to the human rights & criminal code) is one step closer to becoming law. It was supported 248 to 40 in its 2nd reading today.
It will be sent to a committee where it will be debated further and amendments may be proposed. Then it will reach third reading where amendments will be voted on and the bill voted on again. If it passes that, it will go to the senate. If the senate passes it, it’ll be on its way to become law.
That’s what’s tricky about disabled sexuality: most people, disabled or not or anyplace in between, have no idea how to discuss it. So fear of “saying the wrong thing” takes over instead and the problem feeds itself. We never talk about it because we don’t know how to start.

Minister says women’s protests ‘taught us humility’ and conservative leadership will withdraw support for controversial move
A proposed total abortion ban in Poland will not be implemented, a member of the government has said, describing mass protests against the ban as a lesson in humility for the country’s leadership.
Jarosław Gowin, the minister of science and higher education, said on Wednesday that the protests by women had “caused us to think and taught us humility”.
The comments appear to indicate that Poland’s conservative leadership will withhold support from the highly unpopular proposal to ban abortions even in cases of rape, incest or when the mother’s life is at risk.
The rightwing government, led by the Law and Justice party, has been under international pressure not to move forward with the plan, with a debate scheduled for Wednesday in the European parliament on the situation of women in Poland.
Direct action gets the goods again, wahey!
I want to kick the shit out of stigma, and knock it on its fucking teeth. I’m tired of its existence. It has no place in 2016, going forward from this day on. Period.

Shout out to people who can’t come out because they are in an unsafe or uncomfortable environment. You are valid. Your feelings are valid. You are not alone.

Today, instead let’s think about what we’re thankful that we’ve learned about healthy sexuality whether from formal or informal spaces!
