Pink Garden Door
the saddest thing is when disappointment starts feeling normal
Some reminders for a grieving heart:
1. Their soul is now under the care and mercy of Allah, and no care is greater than His.
2. This dunya was never created to last forever; we were always meant to return to our Creator.
3. If they died as a Muslim, the doors of Allah’s mercy are still vast for them. Our du’as can still reach them even after death.
4. Their worldly hardships, pain, fears, and exhaustion have come to an end.
5. Allah can forgive whom He wills and grant them Jannah through His infinite mercy.
6. Perhaps Allah took them before they had to witness greater trials of this dunya.
7. They left this world before the arrival of Qiyamah, while the door of repentance and mercy is still open.
8. Every sincere du’a, charity, and prayer made for them can continue to benefit them now.
9. Death reminds hearts of love. Sometimes people are cherished more deeply after they are gone because loss awakens what routine made us forget.
10. They are no longer carrying the burden of daily sins and human weakness. May Allah forgive all of us, living and deceased.
11. Separation in this dunya is not always forever; for believers, there is hope of reunion in the Hereafter.
12. Loving someone deeply is also part of why losing them hurts deeply. Grief itself is proof that love existed.
13. The soul does not belong to us; it was always an amanah (trust) from Allah.
14. The deceased now depend on the du’as of those who loved them, and love can continue through prayer long after death.
15. Allah is more merciful to them than we could ever be.
16. Every hardship a believer faced in this dunya may become a means of purification for them.
17. Sometimes Allah takes people back because their chapter in dunya was complete, even if our hearts were not ready.
18. The pain of missing them is heavy, but so is the reward of patience, sabr, and trusting Allah through grief.
19. No soul leaves this world except by the permission and perfect knowledge of Allah.
May Allah forgive our loved ones, illuminate their graves, widen them with peace and mercy, and reunite us with them in Jannatul Firdaus. Aameen.

you don’t need more. you need less.
Indeed, it is becoming ever more obvious that it is not famine, not earthquakes, not microbes, not cancer but man himself who is man’s greatest danger to man, for the simple reason that there is no adequate protection against psychic epidemics, which are infinitely more devastating than the worst of natural catastrophes.

Potato-size metallic nodules strewn across the Pacific Ocean seafloor produce oxygen in complete darkness and without any help from living organisms, new research reveals. The discovery of this deep-sea oxygen, dubbed "dark oxygen," is the first time scientists have ever observed oxygen being generated without the involvement of organisms and challenges what we know about the emergence of life on Earth, researchers say.

The world's largest cave castle, Castillo de Predjama, Slovenia 🇸🇮
Predjama Castle is the world’s largest cave castle, dramatically built into a 123-meter-high cliff in southwestern Slovenia.
The castle was first mentioned in historical records in 1274. It became famous in the 15th century as the home of the knight Erasmus of Lueg (also known as Erazem Predjamski), who rebelled against the Habsburg Empire. During a siege, Erasmus used a secret tunnel system through the cave to secretly bring in food and supplies, allowing him to resist for over a year.
After his death in 1484, the castle was later renovated in Renaissance style and remains one of Slovenia’s most fascinating historical landmarks today.
لا يمكنك أن تسيطر على شخص يعرف كيف يكون وحيداً، لأنه ببساطة لا يحتاجك .. بل يختارك

"True tranquility is not the absence of turmoil, but the presence of the heart with Allah amid all disturbances.
Racism is a value born from your environment that you need to go through fire to get it out of you. There's no "I've stopped being racist" phase. There's only "I need to get it beaten out of me everyday" phase. It's a process that will never stop, shouldn't stop until we die.
hey a local town actually did this!
they planted berries, root vegetables, leafy greens, herbs, all sorts. they label each plant and the sign said "free to take, leave some for others to enjoy!"
and people did. they took a bit, but left some for others.
it also fed the homeless people living around there.
bearing in mind this is a tourist town, so i half expected to see the plants gone. but nope, there's always some left.
people aren't naturally selfish, and they will share. the initiative works
And honestly? Most people who don't need it won't bother to stop and pick fruit. It's only people who actually need it who will devote the time. People with money still have grocery stores.

I was talking to someone about planting food and fruit trees in public spaces and they were like “Why so everyone can steal the food?”
And I was like “See, that’s the problem right there. Why should taking food off a public tree be stealing?”
"Urban food forest" is something I'm hearing more and more. Do some poking around, there may be an opportunity to help with or start something like this near you.
