I don’t do original posts on here very often but I want to say that the fact there is still such an active community of Technoblade fans even like, three years after his death, really warms my heart. Never stop being amazing

I want to give Chrono Trigger flak for not having a quest log.
I was doing a quick search to see if there was one in the game, and people were saying, "just take notes!", "just talk to people!", and so on, but here's the problem:
I was on "Tata and the Frog". I completed everything through finding the hilt for the sword. The moment you find the hilt, one of the characters says the name of the guy you need to talk to in order to repair it.
I accidentally pressed the button too fast, didn't catch the dialogue, and had no idea what to do after the fact. The locals had nothing to say, I couldn't talk to my companions, and the hilt didn't even have a description for me to go off of.
Sure, this probably should've been the signal to return to the hub, but I was panicking, thinking I was going to miss something important if I didn't resolve the broken sword plot beat right there.
Having lines of dialogue containing important quest info that you'll only get once is a huge oversight to me. This is still a phenomenal game that I want to finish, and I did find what I needed in a walkthrough, but this probably would've killed my playthrough if I was going through it when it first came out. This is the first time I've actually run into this problem, though, so I'm hoping this doesn't happen too often.
As a veteran of the OG game, that's just how CT and games of that era rolled. Now I could see a quality of life improvement or mod that has Gaspar hint to you, but they only had so much room on that hardware and where else were they gonna cram in those multiple endings, kick-ass soundtrack and wonderful assets*
Yeah, I'll concede that. I still think adding a blurb to the hilt would've been ideal, I was really caught off-guard when they left it blank! But knowing it's a quirk of the time, I'll feel less annoyed next time I have to bust out a guide ✨
