She had found a gentleman. He held the door and was willing to carry her away in his Mustang. Her knight in shinning armor. Stepping out of the busy cafe, she waited for him, before he started to lead the way to his car, “Well, I am kind of hungry, which you’d think is ridiculous, considering where I work, but I’ll let you in on a little secret, the food there is not as great as everyone makes it out to be. They’re just brainwashed by what’s hip.” Seeing his car, her mouth almost dropped open. It was the nicest thing she had ever seen. Her mom drove an old, worn out Jeep Grand Cherokee that smelled like smoke and alcohol, “I can just put it in the back. And trust me, this car is way nicer than anything I’ve ever ridden in, so I think my stuff will be fine.” She laughed softly, before tossing her bag in the back and climbing in the passenger’s side.
“I mean, I don’t think a lot of people would want to eat where they work anyway. I’ve always heard horror stories from employees and why they don’t eat the food where they work...there’s...there’s not any horror stories from there, right?” He was hesitant to ask, the place having been one of his go to places for a while now and he was suddenly afraid of what he’d eaten. “Any place in particular that you’d want to stop at?” The comment about the car being nice had his cheeks turning a slight shade of pink before he gave her a sheepish smile. “I had a perfectly good car before this one but my brother wanted one like this so my parents thought it only fair to upgrade mine too. I kind of miss the old car actually.” Dominic had always been a little embarrassed about how his family just threw money around like it was nothing. They were very wealthy, and the cars were free because of who they were, but that didn’t mean they had to be greedy with it all. Walking around, he took his place in the driver’s seat and started up the car. “Where to? Any place you want, my treat.”
