My annual rewatch of The Hunger Games means that I’ve cried out “he raises geese😭”, “they’ve known each other for 25 years😭”(in relation to Effie and Haymitch), “of course you vote against a captiol hunger games Beetee, you lost your son to them the 50th😭” , “of course Effie, you know what it’s like to do anything for your sister😭”, and “I wonder if Haymitch sees Burdock and Louella in Katniss’s children😭” about 1000 times. People think I’ve gone insane. Suzanne Collin’s when I catch you
83% of the negative reviews for Supergirl came from men.
female critics gave it a 83% rating.
spider-man wouldn’t approve of the hate against the Supergirl movie. He would have been one of the first to watch it. be ashamed
"oh but the needle drop sucked-" shut up. i do not care.
I could be convinced that Jack Wolfe was actually blessed by the gods to sing, and that his singing would fix climate change. It wouldn't take much convincing.
if diet coke doesnt kill me, nostalgia will
forgot how misogynistic the world was until I saw all the hate Supergirl was getting. why is all the merch about krypto or lobo. Literally saw someone say Krem should have been hotter.
that feeling when it’s finally summer, and you finally have a group of friends.
We’re the cold winter nights and warm summer days, the fan that keeps you cool and the heater that keeps you warm, the twinkling stars and the dazzling sun, the soaring birds and the gliding fish, the childhood bedroom and the teenagers messy room, the first day of school and the first day of summer, the classic film and the new blockbuster movie, the sifting sands and the tall steady trees. Humans are the laughter in eyes and the tears on cheeks, the sun on skin and the rain on hair, friendship and love, the dancing and the sleeping, the singing and the quiet, the light and dark, the good and bad, the poets, the dreamers, actors, scientists, teachers, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. We are the future, the past, the knowledge that everything is temporary yet will still live on in memories. Humans are everything.
But mostly, we are love.
I think we all just want to be good
Doctor, I think its time you pay America a visit.
"millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, uncountable numbers of planets, billions of people on earth, who could possibly care about one single life, one single person among infinite people" who could care? their mother.
something that kills me about the hunger games is that they’re supposed to show that the capitol is necessary, that they keep people civilised because humans are inherently violent creatures and then the kids get to the arena and they care for each other. lamina mercy kills marcus, reaper gathers and covers their bodies, lucy gray stays with jessup as he dies, haymitch holds maysilee’s hand, katniss sings to rue and covers her in flowers, thresh lets katniss live, cato begs clove to come back to him, and katniss nurses peeta back to health. because these kids don’t want to kill each other. and it flies directly in the face of exactly what the hunger games stand for and still they do it. because people are good, there are just some who choose to do bad.
In sunrise on the reaping we see how Haymitch reacts when Louella dies, how he reacts when any Newcomer dies, and how he shares his chocolate with a crying silka,
sometimes It feels like my arms ache to hug someone.
I’m obsessed with shows that are procedural police dramas with a subplot that revolves around the will they-won’t they romance between a pretty, strait-laced blonde detective and a police consultant with strange connections and claim to have supernatural gifts that they use to solve crimes, who is quippy and irreverent. The pretty detective is virtuous to a fault with a coworker with shockingly blue eyes who hates the police consultant with a burning passion, mostly because of the frequent supernatural claims and aforementioned irreverent quips, but their shared affection and respect for the blonde detective is the only thing they have in common. Am I talking about Lucifer or Psych?
