anti-ao3 is stupid. And being anti ao3 is such a joke.

Ao3 is the best place for fic authors to host their fanfiction (as of writing this) that allows authors to mark their fics appropriately and allows readers to filter out anything they do not want to read or be exposed to. There is currently no better alternative. All other fanfic hosting websites are trash. They’re either flooded with adverts and haven’t been updated in years to the point there are very obvious security risks by even logging in (fanfiction.net) or have the worst tagging system (wattpad) or the archive is too specific or are a nightmare to try and filter out rpf/band fics (wattpad). And the others are just so small (quotev) and super limited in what content is allowed.

Yes I took this blog name so the real antis couldn’t have it. I also have pro-ao3 and proao3 so they can’t do what I’m doing.

The AO3 search/filtering system has just ruined me for every other search function ever. I genuinely go onto websites, click 'advanced search' and then look at what paltry options they've given me in utter horror. How does anyone find anything? How do people survive?

the more time i spend here the more i realise how fucking toxic this place is, unironically. it’s not funny, it’s not a joke, it’s not a fun little feature of this “hellsite”.

i have seen multiple people commenting “kill yourself” under posts just today. i genuinely cannot comprehend how far gone someone has to be to do this. it doesn’t fucking matter what the other person has done. no one deserves to be told to kill themselves, and imagine if they actually fucking did it? how would you feel?
