Doom from the Start

This isn’t finished! But it’s been in my drafts for so long😭 I actually really like my writing for this but not sure about my characterization of Earth:/
Anyways this is VERY long (almost 3k worth) so beware, anyways enjoy!
This is Luna and Earth angst, starting near the end of their Solar System, long after both Mercury and Venus have died, with Earth starting at what will soon be his grave^^
A red glows castes over Earth's face as he stared into what will soon be his deathbed, he knew this day would come as many did, but it still felt unreal, like it was all a dream he could pinch himself out of and wake up, back to when his surface was still radiant blue, with streaks of green that was rare in the cosmos (or so he thought at the time...)
But now his under eyes darken, making his face look sunken in and tired, the years of helplessly watching as two of his best friends were swallowed up by the untamed beast they once called their Sun, their protector. But the star hasn't been the Sun in years now, having fallen asleep long ago.
The Star couldn't bear seeing his precious planets, the core of his life, being destroyed because of his explanation, his fierce, red flames swallowing them before anyone could react, with the Star’s scream rang out in sobbing wales.
His little planets, his little rocky planets gone before his very eyes. Earth knew Sun could still hear their cries from the way his shoulders shook and the soft whimpers that escaped his lips as he slept.
No one could get close enough to comfort the red dwarf, not only because of the heat but Jupiter forbade them, fair too scared of them getting hurt as well (even if it would all be pointless in the end).
Jupiter took over as leader once the Star fell asleep, trying his best to hold the solar system together, but with little luck, as many suffered and died anyways, no matter how much the Gas Giant tried to change their fate…
Everyone knew there was little Jupiter could do, to stop the on-slot of destruction that followed the end of their solar system, but that didn't stop the soft whimpers that came from his orbit every ‘night.’
Mourning all his failures and regrets, of things he could have done but didn't, wishes to change the future but with little power to do so..
Earth knew those feelings very well, having spent many orbits longing for a time long past.
Often dreaming of days he once lazily floated along his orbit.
The now molten planet wished he had soaked in the day to day life he once lived while he still had a chance, to take in the soft rumbling of Luna talking away about a book he recently finished, instead of letting it blend into their daily life.
Those small moments have got swept away alongside other memories, ones he wished to remember, Earth could hardly even put brush to canvas when it came to his friends and Luna, their faces becoming a mucky mess of brown and reds, until Earth didn't even know who they were anymore.
Earth felt ashamed he couldn't even remember his own moon's face anymore, Luna having joined Venus and Mercury in the hall of those long forgotten inside his mind, leaving Earth to grip on tight to any memories he still had of them.
It was his own fault that Luna was gone. Neither noticed just how fair the moon had drifted until it was too late, Earth had just woken up one 'day' and Luna was just…
Gone.
Earth could still remember the sculpting fire in his core, burning against his chest as he desperately asked around of where his Lunita was.
But no one had seen him, the moon seemingly drifting away through rocks and stones without a pip!
Leaving Earth with a gaping black hole, burning away at his side where the small moon once stood, nothing could ever fill the hole that Luna left behind and how could it!?
Luna was with him from the beginning of time. The moon made up much of Earth’s life, even from the moment they had taken their first breath, neither were ever seen apart from that point on, forever locked in a dance only they knew.
Earth never dreamed of having to live without Luna, pushing away Jupiter’s warnings when the giant tried talking to him.
He had known this day was coming of course, but just like Mars and his own moons, Earth refused to believe it, carrying around the foolish belief they could change the path already laid out for them..
That they could challenge fate and save their moons! But that was their downfall in the end.
As many days passed without incident, they fell back into the normal rhythm of life, until Jupiter's words of warning faded away, to the point neither notice as Luna and Phobos’ orbits slowly changed.
Their death was a blaring wake up call for both of them, a cruel and frankly unjust reminder that they were simply planets, they couldn’t play god and go against fate.
Earth couldn’t help the brief glance he shot towards Mars, the only other remaining rocky floating absently in his orbit, eyes dead and lifeless as he glared at the ring, spinning around his face as if it was a bane on his very existence.
And Earth was sure it was, as Deimos soon escaped into the Asteroid Belt at the sight of the new, shiny ‘accessory,’ neither Mars nor him could ever find the small moon again, seemingly disappearing much like Luna had.
The image of the gentle, somewhat quiet planet Mars once held, was broken in an instant, truing into a cruel monster in many eyes and the dusty planet agreed, to the point he refused to even let Earth near him, until there was a cavern worth hole between them, where their friendship once stood.
Earth wasn’t sure how to even approach Mars at this point, it had been so long since the incident and the taller planet did nothing! Instead he let Mars stew in his pain and loss, unsure how to help, if he was even able to in the first place.
Just like with Luna.
His inactions were always his downfall after all, he chose to do nothing, after upsetting Titan and the other rockies. Following along the foolish beliefs that he was in right all along and they were ones being unreasonable.
That was until he thought it would be better to flying into the sun than to face his friends again..
Earth should have known of course, should have paid more attention to Luna’s drifting orbit before it was too late and he lost the small moon forever.
He should have tried harder to keep Luna closer, to keep the moon from drifting too fair, but maybe that in itself was selfish.
Luna would have to watch the Solar System, their home, fall apart, until it was nothing but a broken shell of the place they grew up in, the place they loved…
It would be selfish to wish for Luna’s suffering just to hold him again.
Earth let out a soft sigh, his throat sore from so many years of unuse, squeezing his eyes shut before any tears could escape, they wouldn't last anyways due to his now streaming surface and the Red Giant’s fiery glare that ate away his life.
He knew his time was coming to an end, he could feel the sculpting heat growing hotter everyday, making Earth feel as though his core was boiling him alive.
His lava bubbled and bust among his skin, growing restless as the ‘days’ ticked on.
Almost like it was a timer of how little time he had left until he too was swallowed up in a fiery death.
Earth couldn’t bear to watch, not when he had already seen the beast devour his friends, the constant reminder of his lava was already too much, he didn’t need to see it as well.
The planet tried to imagine what life had been like, before their star turned into a red fiery ball of death.
Letting his mind swirl with old memories, of his Lunita, of his friends, things he wished to remember more than anything but couldn’t.
“Ear-”
Earth heard, oh so faintly, he had almost missed it, that was if it hadn’t felt so familiar.
If his core didn’t burn with hope he hadn’t felt in YEARS.
“E-Earth!”
They called again, their voice creaking with a deep sob. Earth could hear something rushing toward him before they reached his orbit.
Wait.
Earth could feel as the smaller object fell into his orbit, fighting it’s way toward him, even if his gravity tried its best to make it sway back into orbit.
Luna’s orbit.
There was a familiar, comfortable weight he had missed for billions of years settling in his core, making Earth shoot up from his curled up position, his eyes widened as the reslation set in.
“Lu-Luna?” Earth found himself asking, almost afraid that his mind was playing tricks on him once again, that it was all a hallucination, but as Earth turned, his eyes widened, it was really him…
Luna
The moon's eyes shined in the red glow, tears already falling from his cheeks before disappearing into a puff of smoke, as a wide grind split through his face.
It was him! He was really here!
Earth’s mind screamed at him, drowning out all doubt that remained, while Luna wasn’t how he remembered, (looking far more tired and dishevelled than those in his memories,) he wasn’t like the pasty figures that ones to hunt his every breath, No.
Instead he saw Luna, his little moon, his protector and friend for millions of years, the one he lost.
Earth rushed forwards, wrapping the small moon in a tight hug, holding him close to his chest as a barricade of emotions, (ones he held so close, afraid of the consequences of letting it free) came flooding out. Earth curled a hand into Luna’s overgrown hair that was now tangled and matted together due to years of being unkempt, but that didn’t stop Earth from brushing his fingers through it, gently parting his fingers to break apart the smaller tangles.
They both took a moment being in each other’s arms, hugging each other tightly, almost to the point of being back breaking, but neither complained, instead they kept close, with Luna practically melting into Earth’s warmth.
Even as lava licked and stirred under the planet’s surface and seeping out of the cracks in his skin, just of reach of burning the moon, It didn’t matter after so many years of being away.
Luna smiled, smashing his face into Earth’s shoulder, breathing is the crips scent of burning lava and rotten eggs that often came with his volcanoes. (Even if it wasn’t a pleasant smell in the slightest! It still reminds Luna heavily of Earth, of home.)
It wasn’t like Earth would let Luna go anyways, not yet at least, not after so many years of being alone, so many years of cruel words being whispered into his ear by his own mind.
Telling him every waking moment it had been his fault Luna left, that he should have noticed the moon was slowly moving away before it was too late, and he believed it, because who else was there to blame?
It wasn’t Luna’s fault that Earth’s gravity wasn’t strong enough to hold him close, to keep him safe like his moon had done Earth for billions of years before. But the once habitable planet was always too weak, too fragile to do anything of substance, his life, his lifeline was always his top priority, even if it meant Luna getting hurt to save him…
Earth made many mistakes throughout his life, so many things he now regretted, wishing more than anything to go back and change things.
“I-I’m so sorry…”
Earth found himself whispering against Luna’s neck, the words stumbling out of his mouth before he could stop them. The planet’s arms wrapping tightly breathing in Luna’s own scent of salty seas and white roses, despite so many years of Earth’s surface being little more than a molten wasteland, with no waves to rule over any longer, the smell still lingers fair longer than Earth’s ever did.
“I’m s-so sorry Luna”
Earth choked out, his throat clogged up as he tried to speak. The emotion and ache he felt for the thousand years without Luna building up until it boiled over, pouring out as Earth held Luna close.
“I should have noticed…” he crooked, feeling as Luna tensed underneath him at his words but Earth couldn’t help but continue “t-that you were moving away” only stopping once he felt Luna pulling away to cup his face, letting Earth looking into his clouded eyes of deep blues and even dark purples.
“No! N-no, Earth,” Luna cried, his hands gripping onto the teller's face as he spoke, “it…” Luna started before taking a sharp breath in “it wasn’t either of our faults” Luna tried to reinsure, but the Moon’s voice was shaky at best, coated with emotions Earth could only guess were regret and grief.
“Bu-” Earth tried to argue, the words coating his throat like a thick web until he couldn’t say anymore as he choked back a sob.
“I-I….”
Every breath came in short as he struggled to breath, his lungs never fully expanding to bring air into chest. He couldn’t breath, not with the crushing sobs ripping through his chest.
Still so many things left to say, but little time to actually talk with the Star’s glaring heat, burning behind them, reminding Earth of their fate to come.
He wanted to scream, to spill everything he held so close.
The ugliness he wanted to bury deep inside himself, the gratitude his seen others share so freely but never could himself.
Most of all Earth wanted to spill all the words left unsaid, apologies long over due and mistakes he wishes he could take back.
But the words never came.
Only the tears did and they never seemed to stop pooling at his eyes, burning at his cheeks as they evaporated into the sun.
Earth’s mind fighting for anything he could grab onto, the old habits he developed from the Moon Revolution still plagued his mind, even after its leader was now long gone, having been ejected once Saturn’s axis became too unstable, and caused the larger planet to fall onto his side, much like Uranus did before him.
It wasn’t until he felt a hand wrap around his, bringing it to rest against someone’s chests. Luna quietly
“No, Earth…” Luna whispered into his neck, “please don’t say that..”
But all thoughts washed away soon after Earth felt Luna’s hands drop to instead wrap around his neck, crushing into the planet, hugging him tightly once again.
“It wasn’t your fault, Earth.” Luna stated firmly, not leaving any room to argue nor did Earth want to argue.
Both knew they didn’t have much time left, not with the scorching red glow that burned into Earth's back as he shielded the smaller from the star’s hungry glare, ready to swallow both him and Luna whole with nowhere else to turn, to escape.
Leaving the Solar System meant being at the whim of any celestial they may come across. Whether it be another planet better versed In surviving outside their star’s warmth and safety or a backhoe ready for their next meal, there was little chance either would survive those they encounter.
Even if they stayed but in a further out orbit, their rocky bodies weren’t equipped for the strong gravity the Giants' possessed and it wasn’t like Jupiter would let them, even if it meant staying alive a little longer. The Solar System was already vastly unstable and moving around, welly nelly wasn’t the smartest move.
So here they stayed, locked in place with their arms wrapped tightly around one another, almost as if one of them let go, they would be torn apart once again. Earth was okay with that, he was okay dying with his brother arms around him, resting his head on Luna’s shoulder the best he could with their height difference.
Only then did Earth trust his voice not to break, did he continue, he could feel Luna shiver as his breath tickled the moon’s neck with every word he spoke, “I missed you so much” Earth croaked, voice still raw with emotions, all slipping away as Luna tightened his grip.
“I never thought I’d see you again, that..” he trailed off, not wanting to finish the thought, almost as if speaking live into thoughts that long plagued his mind would only make it hurt that much more. He always imagined dying with his friends right by his side, with Mars joining them as red consumed their very beings, but oh how wrong he was.
In the end it would have been just Earth, and Earth alone, facing the beast he once called his Star. Alone as his body was ripped apart just like Mercury and Venus did before him. Alone as he left Mars to be the last rocky planet left in their Solar System, without Luna by his side like they always promised.
‘Tell death do us part!’ They always joked, never putting much weight into the words, or thinking deeply about their future. Maybe if they had, they could haven’t prepared, but that was a bygone memory now, wasting away in the depths of time, just waiting to be erased like the rest of the Solar Steam, never to be spoken again once Earth or Luna were gone.
This was going to end with Luna and Earth dying together, but I lost interest in Solarballs a long time ago and haven’t been able to bring myself to finish this.
So much have changed in my life since starting this, some for the better, but most for the worse, that’s just life though:/
I hope you enjoyed it! If you wish to complete this or anything, go ahead! I probably never will, but would love to see what other people come up with! Please @ me if you do, I wanna read it^^
I should really get a job

Grian successfully throwing off the scent of the ore snatcher for Scar proves what we’ve all known since 3rd life, which is that Grian is at his best when he is being a henchman to Scar’s looney tunes ass shenanigans.
tumblr will never count as social media to me. This shit a secret hideout and we just all happen to see each others thoughts
Hold up, so you're telling me that last year, Scar's team had to enter through a different entrance due to the fact that the Twitch Rivals stage didn't have a ramp...
And instead of fixing that problem that they had and ENTIRE YEAR to fix,
They DIDN'T?!
And the Pink Parrots, who keep in mind won, had to do their intros and receive their prizes IN FRONT of the stage?
And Twitch, who knew for a while in advance that Scar was coming, failed to do anything to assist him and make the stage accessible??
Twitch Con, you guys seriously need to get your act together.
We genuinely need to raise as much awareness about this as we can- ideally we should inform people even outside the MCYT community. Twitch HAS to listen to us if we get loud and angry and mean about this. Something needs to change NOW.
This was disrespectful of twitch. Period.
i was at mcc live. the pink parrots were also the only team not to enter from the stage bc of the lack of a ramp. it's why they entered from the back and passed through the audience
there was also an award show at 'half time' during which the hermits won an award, and they were the only group that didn't go on stage bc they didn't have a ramp
toward the end of the games, they had all participants go on stage for a skit thing... except Scar (and a few of the others who decided to hang out with him instead of going up, though i heard staff tried to convince those people to leave Scar and go on stage)
there were three moments, even outside of accepting the MCC win, in which they knew Scar was supposed to be on stage, and they did not give him any ability to actually get on stage
