So well fed with some longer fanfics on AO3 lately. Am currently reading wasn’t born on a safe ship (someone wore me down) by The_Escaped ( @shitlinguistssay on tumblr ). Younger Nico Robin finds herself given “safe” haven in Dressrosa. Law and Cora are still with Doflamingo under less than desirable circumstances. Doflamingo will make you scared. He’s a very delicious menace in the worst possible way (G-rated fic, though, so, although violent [or implied heavily enough to make you very uneasy] in the first chapter, not kink-o-meter menacing).
And there’s a wonderful ongoing fic from Bepo’s point of view (and he’s a super competent Bepo). A young Sanji (helmeted) is rescued from the ocean by the young Hearts crew (although full crew). It’s just extremely well written. Again a G or T rating. Bepo really is best bear at negotiating the trauma of both their new passenger, and that of the Captain of the Polar Tang. Plenty of humour, tho, but overall, just a solid and fabulously written multi-chap fic. ballast by islandfeeder (purrslink). I can’t find the author on tumblr, but let them know I gave a shoutout if you know them.
Finally, cannot go past, for art, story and heart (heh) Little Hearts by @badninken. (Not to mention setting!)
I’ve fallen off the train due to time constraints and length, but I know the One Piece fandom loves good words ❤️ and this one has all the good words to add up to this wonderful story of the core Hearts. I’ll get it downloaded for my next long journey, so that I can give it the love it deserves, and I have read the first 100k! Anyway, you would be doing yourself a disfavour if you didn’t check it out. So finely crafted and enjoyable…and the Hearts and Law. I love all these versions! T-rated.
There are multiple chapters that are set in hospitals where the characters are attempting to recover from injuries that never fully heal. I must once again stress that my experience in WWI was perfectly normal.
There is a giant horrible mudplain full of unrecoverable and perfectly preserved dead bodies that the characters have to walk through in a land where the air is poisoned gas, and on a compLETELY UNRELATED NOTE: WWI WAS TOTALLY FINE AND NORMAL!!

No one knows why the sickenesse started in the castle, but it was cured by a reemergence of physik (a lost medicine practice) after Septimus Heap discovered it...jesus christ

marcellus pye, the last alchemist, whose apprentice Septimus He-WHAT. marcellus pye created a massive glass of time, which was only used a handful of times before it broke. People who are known to have used the glass include: Jenna Heap, Nicko Heap, SEPTIMUS HEAP I SWEAR TO GOD
The alchemie chimney was destroyed in the great alchemie fire. It was rebuilt by marcellus many years later with the help of an architect named Lucy Heap......... marcellus resumed his title as the castle alchemist and took on a new apprentice, named Simon it's one of those goddamn Heaps again isn't it. Yup.
The darke domaine cast over the castle was very dangerous and involved the two faced ring. It was cast by a kid named Merrin Meredith, who often went by the name ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS
The wendron witches are very dangerous. Some of the only people known to have made regular and peaceful contact with them include Silas Heap, Sam Heap, JoJo Heap, Erik- this is literally just a list of people named Heap. Fuck you.
The queste was notorious for being so dangerous that no extraordinary apprentice has ever come back from it alive, except for one apprentice who... (please don't say it. please don't.) who completed the entire queste and met hotep-ra himself. This apprentice supposedly wasn't even old enough to go on the queste! This was none other than... (don't say it...) Septimus Heap

(Idk if I'll do another bc I feel like its run its course and unlike Scott Cawthon I would like to end my series on a high note!
