Whumper who makes Whumpee pretend to be their deceased partner.

Whumper was once madly in love. They were a perfect, genuinely happy couple. When their Partner passed away, possibly unexpectedly, Whumper couldn't bear the grief. They couldn't face a world without their beloved.

And then they saw Whumpee. Whumpee, with so many similarities to their beloved, same hair, same eyes, similar features, similar mannerisms and personality - it's not perfect, but it's close enough. Whumper becomes obsessed, this is their chance to put their life back together, this is their chance to regain what they'd lost.

Whumper modifying whumpee's looks, cutting their hair or growing it out, dressing them in their beloveds old clothes, doing their makeup just as they liked it before. Not before their death, no, they didn't die. They're right here.

what I mean: "sexual intercourse" is as much a social construct as "romantic courtship," and you discover this very quickly as a queer person if you try to talk to able bodied straight cis people who literally think the only thing that counts as Actual Sex is penis-in-vagina penetration, like they call oral "foreplay" it's so dire. various people have a lot of vested interest in cleanly defining "sex" vs "not sex" for a whole slew of reasons (ex. censorship dodging and enforcing, conferring the social clout of virginity and prowess, finding and closing loopholes about premarital sex, deciding what relationships "count" as serious partnerships, ligating what is general assault vs sexual assault vs Something That's Definitely Probably Fine And Not Sexual At All, Actually, etc.), and it's really not something you can just fall back on as obvious common sense that people are dumb for questioning.

isolation in whump

so i love this trope but im not talking the basic 'locked in a room and isolated for days until they beg and break' (do love that too) but im talking about the emotional isolation.

the only people whumpee has around are people who hurt and abuse them they don't get to see people treat them a human, on top of this whumpee has to go through all of their emotions and pains alone and when they try and ask a guard or whumper for help they are completely ignored. this would make a person feel very isolated from people
