BJD Sweet Ombre Lips Tutorial

Hello~

Hope you won’t mind a biggie post on your dash, but here it is,a tutorial featuring the Tony Moly Lip tint, which I got from Pefy Shop

Start off with your bare lips. Make sure to drink a nice glass of water and exfoliate, so your lips will be nice and soft (I did none of these *gets slapped*)

Next, add some highlighting. It’s better if you have it under the base, but if you want more drama, you can use it at the end aswell. I used a white eyelining pencil

Apply BB Cream all over your lips, to hide your natural lip color. I highly recommend BB Cream because it will help moisturize your lips, unlike concealer which may dry them

Looking much like a physics thing, now you have to apply some shadows. I used a brown eyeliner pencil, but you can use eyeshadow too (note: eyeshadow makes your lips dry)

Now the main part is here! It’s time to use this fab liptint to give that ombre effect. Lip tints are so much better than lipsticks because they blend so much better and make a much more subtle gradient effect. Plus, they don’t cake ONE.BIT. They just TINT your lips, to make it appear like it’s your natural color. Now, go and buy yourself one like now -> ♥ <-

Blend blend blend. See? See how amazing it blends? ;u; Omg…And yes, I kind of blended the shadows a little too much, oopsie

And now I’ve topped it all with lipgloss, to make it feel like a beautiful painting on a ball jointed doll’s lips. I hope you enjoyed it ^//^

I reread these two pages (chapter 1) and I noticed a few things.

First of all, his mother is an ass. She doesn’t recognize the dog as a living thing, but as a “defect”. I think she may have bought the dog to distract her children. She seems cold and only thinks about complaining. She reminds me of the current Kei - coldhearted, logical, without bonds.

Kei and his sister Eriko buried the dog alone and as we can see, Kei did the work. His answer “he was sick - there was nothing we could’ve done” reminds me of the time the doctor was shot on the roof. There he thinks “can’t help him if he’s dead.” (chapter 12).He tells his sister and himself that he couldn’t prevent the death and that it’s not their fault. Kei thinks like his mother. He gave his phone away as soon as he got the reason why he shouldn’t meet Kai anymore. The boy sees it logical and is like “oh, son of criminal? bad reputation? kay”. His mother is like “oh, defect dog? I should complain about them giving me a defective merchandise”

Eriko cries and asks if all defects die. The thing here is - we know that Kei’s sister is ill. She was in the hospital multiple times and she has an illness which can’t be cured by the current standards. She cries because she thinks she’s “defect” and will die. Kei looks troubled and tries to comfort her, saying that “everything will be alright”. He knows that Eriko is afraid of ending up like the dog, being treated like that by her cold mother. Kei wants to help his sister and thinks about death. This was the moment he met his black ghost and I guess this was the moment he decided to become a doctor. He wants to “repair” his sister. His mother seems cold so it’s probably up to Kei to take care of Eriko. She’s his only real family and he wants to save her. Eriko said that he only does it for himself and she might be right - I’m sure that Kei tries to become a better doctor than his father, he wants to prove himself. His father was a doctor but he was too kind and ruined his own life. Kei wants to show the difference between his father and himself. But I still think he wants to cure his sister as well. He’s not good at comforting, he resembles his mother, but he still tries to help her indirectly.
