thinkin abt how a romanced UB + detective sleep together and I’ve come to the conclusion that

A loves it when the detective sleeps on top of them. Like, full-bodied sprawled, uses them as a mattress kind of cuddled. They like feeling useful, even in slumber, and tbh the detective acts as a diy weighted blanket that A never knew they needed.

N will happily play big spoon, sure, or whatever makes the detective comfy, but their favorite way to sleep? Head pillowed on the detective’s chest, arms wrapped around their torso as they let the detective’s heartbeat lull them to sleep. They especially like it when the detective plays with their hair, or rubs their back; it’s nice to be the one doted on, for once (even if they’d never say so).

F either sleeps like a rock or tosses and turns, there’s no in-between. With the detective, however, they’ll usually be wrangled into some semblance of order, limbs tangled and faces close together so that all the detective can see is the gold of their eyes. Still would probs wake up with a mouthful of their hair or half-kicked off the bed tho.

M would never admit they like cuddling at all, but lo and behold, they’re pulling the detective to their chest every night so they can play big spoon. Part of it is wanting to protect them, holding the detective in the cradle of their body, but a bigger part is just...proximity. They can feel the detective’s heart beating steady against their chest, their body heat comforting and warm, can bury their face into the crook of their neck; and yeah, maybe the position makes it a little easier for some...morning shenanigans.

how would the ROs react to an mc who's really fond of (not necessarily sexual) touching? the mc would be peppering (aha!) them with feather light kisses on the cheek, the neck, their knuckles, any exposed skin of their shoulders and their stomach at every given opportunity. they would be absentmindedly stroking the back of their necks or tracing circles in their palms (esp if the ROs are nervous). they would be hugging the ROs, caressing them, holding them close whenever possible.

I’m really hoping to put this kind of thing into the game. I love the intimate, gentle touches between couples that aren’t especially sexual but just comfortable. Love it :D

I’m guessing you mean deeper into the relationship?

Those kinds of touches would probably actually mean more to A than passionate or sexual ones, so it would be a struggle for them to keep their reactions as calm as possible and not to let that emotion show through.

N would adore it and probably initiate it just as much as the MC.

F would also love it, though they’re not as experienced as the other at this type of thing, so might get carried away with PDA, lol.

M, hm, oh…tough. This would be a very intimate kind of experience for M, these kinds of gestures are not what they are used to. It would probably take them a while to get used to the feeling of someone wanting to interact with them in a gentler, more romantic manner like this.

I've just finished another run of Book 2 and I wanted to ask, what's going through the RO's minds the moment they have to leave the detective in the alley with Bobby?

A: Probably just concern. They don’t like being split from their team...at least that’s what they’d be telling themself.

N: Torn between really wanting to help the supernatural but also worried about what the MC and who it was.

F: Mostly just grossed out by taking the supernatural, lol!

M: “I hope they’re looking at my butt as I go.” Along with “I seriously hope A doesn’t scold me for leaving MC alone.” Hehehe :D

i think about domestic A on a daily basis. just A knowing where everything is in the detective’s apartment even when it’s a mess. maybe the detective is forgetful and A just tosses them their keys or their wallet. A taking care of the detective’s pets 🥺 or A helping the detective cook and being super meticulous, but in an endearing way.

one day i’ll stop thinking about domestic A but today is Not That Day.

anyways his name is Everette Woods, he’s charismatic, as tall as Adam, and has a good relationship with his mom, unless she starts pulling out childhood photos of all the times he dressed up as dracula he’s gonna romance nate too

he dresses all business casual at work but as soon as he’s off duty it’s chill goth hours and yes he does have a dracula poster in his apartment and one day I will draw UB reacting to that
