I’m so sorry but standardized testing is this week and I’m not taking any chances
Rain. Hard cold menacing rain. Not the kind of rain that you watch from your window, nor the kind young couples dance in. This is ferocious rain. It beats on the roof of my bedroom, the sound like a million things happening at once. The time comes when I can brave a small peek out the blinds on my window, but only to be scared away by lighting, just a few feet away. I had plans today, but they might as well be shattered like the glass I broke just a few minutes ago. It’s summer, but it doesn’t feel like it, for dark clouds mask the summer sky. Rain like this can be fun, screaming at thunder and then laughing. But when my house vibrates with the sound of clapping thunder, the fun is scared out of me. The power’s out, repairmen on their way, but I don’t want them to fix it. I like to sit in my darkened room, wondering.
