Seeing the sad look on her face, she decided not to question her any further. She couldn’t imagine what it must’ve been like for her, what she had gone through, how long she’d been hiding in this toy box. However, she did know what it was like to feel trapped in a never ending darkness, to the chased by it to no end. And if there was something she knew about those feelings, were that she would never want to talk about it. She wouldn’t want people constantly remembering her about what happened.
For a moment, she listened carefully to what the girl had to say. If she remembered correctly, she could say that the first disappearance was over four months ago, and until now, they had yet to find any traces. As time passed, more children began to disappear. They weren’t an insane amount, but… enough to make the Chosen worried.
Hikari bit her lip sadly, resisting the urge to pout. She truly wished this has happened earlier, before the situation got more serious. Honestly, she didn’t want to think what it was like living here, and then disappearing to be ‘played’ with for another while. She sighed, a worried look etched on her face “Sayo-san, how long have you been here?”
Soon, though, she found her previous question answered by the girl. And oh, how she regretted asking it. Seeing Sayo stand there in the light made her eyes widen. A look of anger tried to spread across her face, but it couldn’t. Was this what Spellmon had done? She glared in disgust at what the digimon had done. How dare she? How could she do this.
The girl, Sayo, was no different from others. From other porcelain dolls that many girls had played with when they were small. Quickly, the anger in her eyes was replaced by concern and worry. She held her by the shoulder, looking directly to her doll eyes, “She did this to you, didn’t she? Y-you’re a doll now, aren’t you?”
