What even is a dragon
Kinda like trying to categorize fish
Best way to identify a dragon is to ask it. Anything that says it’s a dragon probably is one. Unless it can’t speak. Then you’re on your own.
if you ask it and it proceeds to swallow you whole it was probably a dragon
Which is definitely a bonus.
I've come to think of my past life memories and consciousness after death in reference to a dream. See, I've always wondered how consciousness could just stop after death and how all those memories could just go away, but when you think about dreams, it makes more sense.
It's common that in a dream, you won't remember your waking life, which makes the dream all the more real to you. I've had many dreams where I'm in school again, and since I can't remember the particulars of my waking life, it feels real enough to cause distress. The thing is, if I manage to recall any details of my waking life, the dream starts to fall apart.
Of course, reality doesn't do the same thing when recalling past life memories, but it allows you to pierce through the veil a little bit to look for more. It's also worth noting that the lack of access to memory in dreams can simulate what death might look like.
These are just some of my musings today.
species dysphoria is real and you might have it without realizing.
im kbity
God i love dragons so much, curling up warm in a cave, soaring through the air, protecting that which is precious to you, being full of poison and fire and smoke, being protection and destruction, beauty and pain... god i love dragons
We miss our homes, but we would miss each other more, we think. If we could have one body that could shapeshift, that would make up for the homesickness, but by the gods we would just take being away from this world with some agency at this point. It's the funny thing about being a system of otherkin.
what is your favorite dragon habitat?
mountains
beach / cove / ocean
volcanoes
caves
deserts / dunes
architecture / buildings
plains
cosmos / space
forests

Every time we remember something, we yearn to return. With so many of us in this system, there is a strong desire to be a planeswalking shapeshifter. Shi'ayela was close to that with her dreamwalking, but it's not quite the same. As we are, we want to stay together as a system, but the conditions we would need for that to happen are . . . Far from easy to achieve.

Coral has decided to go by Qrest, now. We've updated the about. While they might go by Coral sometimes, Qrest is more of a primary name.
I find it almost amusing that of all the places and continents I've traveled in my life before, the frozen mountains I was exiled to are my home more than anyplace else. My heart aches for that place, and I can remember it so clearly.
Even the den in which Shi'ayela and I had our first clutch doesnt compare. It sounds harsh, but it is simply truth. I know Shi'ayela understands.
I only wish that one day, or even one life, I could see it again, though I know thats not possible. I shall keep the memories close nonetheless.
space dragons are just. The best.
I actually have this one available as an acrylic charm!
gender nonconforming dragon
Its funny. Zeivria tends to be overly formal, especially over text, and Fennel tends not to be very talkative. Meanwhile, I, River, made up of both of them cofronting, am talkative and tend to lose a lot of formality. Also I use more comas than should be needed. Its just funny like that
