Merry Christmas all! I wanted to make some Tenchi and Washu content for a long time. Hope you all enjoy! And yup, it has sound.

The first thing that ever inspired me to want to draw (even if I only ever draw for fun/my own amusement) was Cardcaptor Sakura. I was about 11 or so, and I fell in love with the constant unique outfits she had, as opposed to most magical girls, and it made me want to draw!

Hilariously, I'm still shit when it comes to drawing or designing outfits, and I didn't even start drawing based on CCS despite it inspiring me! CLAMP's work was so detailed and gorgeous I knew there was no way I could start there. Hence another reason why Tenchi Muyo! was such an important love of mine; Hitoshi Okuda's style in the manga was so simple, streamlined and appealing that it was easy for child me to mimic for practice. I'm convinced you can still see echoes of Okuda's style in my own if you compare any of my art to panels from the manga.

So Google articles recently recommended this and I honestly don't know how to feel about it or whether or not I'll include it in my canon work for this crossover.

Having grown up during a time where access to this information wasn't a thing, it was pretty much assumed Saiyans didn't age just like humans or even similar iirc. And I almost prefer to keep that? Idk I'll think on this; I'm pretty sure I have some wiggle room with theories.

Also yes, I realize I should be working on the informational dossier for this project instead of making this stupid post, ssssshhhh

Welcome to the Drag On Tenchi crossover AU!

Created by @cyanide-latte, this is a very special passion project.

The original concept came from when I was in middle school, in that phase where all pre-teens just getting into anime make Mary-Sue self-inserts and crossover every bit of media they fancy.  While others in that friend group had added different things to the mix, I’d added both the Dragon Ball and Tenchi Muyo contributions.  The entire mess slowly fizzled out and died as we got older, but it wasn’t until last year in 2019 while talking with the friends of one of my Discord servers that I was encouraged to revisit the idea of a DB universe and TM universe crossover.

The idea is, if I may say so myself, a fairly solid one and deserved revisitation, especially since being older means I’ve improved at my ability to create fan content.  I’m making this solely for myself and the few friends who enjoy it, but if you are interested and you end up liking this, I’m happy to have you here.
