WAIT IT’S CALLED A THROW PILLOW
here is a super helpful website for this kinda thing!
the first result isn’t always the one you’re looking for but when you press enter it’ll give you a ton of words related to your query that’ll probably have what you’re wanting, or something better
here’s some examples:
Reblog to save a writer’s sanity (the last bit that’s left)
hero: IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO???
villain: *choking back tears* uh, yeah, i'm actually trying really hard here man
hero: *now looking uncomfortable* oh
:)
Me reblogging my own content even though my followers ignored it the first time
Me, realizing I have to actually write my own stories instead of them just magically writing themselves:
People have written a lot of touchy-feely pieces on this subject but I thought I’d get right to the heart of the matter
This is 1000% more motivating than every preachy “real writers write every day” post on all of Tumblr.
Always gotta reblog the Two Cake Theory
The Two Cake Theory
This is surprisingly reassuring
me putting a comma where it doesn’t belong: it’s sexy, it’s spicy, it adds a twist, a little color, a little interest

My life in four panels.
“I am a simple person with simple wants,” I say, scrolling through AO3 and ignoring fics for a variety of petty reasons
thinking about going off the rails and becoming one of those people fixated on an undeveloped character to the point where their projections and headcanons have made them into an unrecognizable fully fleshed out entity
this is unironic btw i think these people are braver and more creative than any mainstream creator and they’re the backbone of every fandom

Personal Opinion… Not enough Drew Lipsky love… just saying…
Truer words have never been spoken.
“Where’s Drew? He was supposed to be here a half hour ago!”
ok but what if he wasn’t gonna find them dates at all bc he already had his. But alas, something came up (hero biz), so he rushed to put together the Bebes which is why they turned out so shitty.
Good!Drakgo as requested by anon. I’ve been needing to see them performing a duet together. It was critical.
This is for the Anon who dropped a prompt into my asks. Sorry! Tumblr was being funny so I just turned it into a post.
Prompt: “you taste like strawberries”
Drew was not a man of mystery. He was just a guy trying to get by. He worked at a pharmacy and wore a coat, but he was no doctor. He was invisible. Even in a full room, no one would ever know he was there. He liked it that way. His family... did not.
His mother called him daily and she'd always end her ridiculous rants with, "Have you found someone to settle down with, yet. I would like to hold my grandbaby before I die."
His cousin was far worse. He actually MADE him go out every Friday night. The bar scene was not his style. Too many people made him nervous. Ed was a complete extrovert in that he never backed down. He was so boisterous, but people flocked to him like fly's to shit. It baffled him, to be honest.
Friday night rolled around and Cousin Eddie dragged him to another bar, but this one had karaoke. Great, he thought. Alcohol and singing... ALWAYS a great combo.
Drew headed straight for the bar in the back, just like he did every single time Ed made him go anywhere. He hated watching his cousin hit on women so vulgarly, so he'd go and order a drink and start counting down the minutes until his nightmare was over.
As he walked in, there were people already on stage singing a song he didn't even know. They were doing it rather off key, but... the rather large crowd cheered.
The bar in the back had small counter space but behind it looked wide and spacious. As he approached, he noticed a very voluptuous woman in a tight black dress with lime green stilettos sitting on one of the three stools in front of the bar. She had raven black hair that swirled in some parts and went straight in others as it seemed to cascade down her back just past her shoulder blades. The low cut back of her dress allowed him to see the indentation of her spine.
He swallowed and shook his mind off the beauty. He got to the bar and knocked on it. The bartender laughed and shook his head as he recognized Drew. Drew grinned and shrugged. The bartender pointed at him, "Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri?"
Drew sighed, "Yep." He could hear his strained emotions in his voice. He shut his eyes tightly... until he heard the snicker of the beautiful woman. He opened his eyes and cut his gaze her way. She was looking right at him with deep green eyes and a smile covered in black lipstick, "Nice drink order, ma'am."
Drew, despite his normally shy personality, narrowed his eyes at the woman, "Not that it's any of your concern, but... I'm a designated driver."
The woman still snorted a laugh and brought the green olive, pierced by a plastic sword in her raised glass filled with clear liquid, to her mouth and took in the morsel with her teeth and started chewing before smirking, "They serve soda here, yet you distinctly ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri... all I want to know is... where's your purse?"
The thought of her being beautiful lifted out of his mind the more she spoke and he growled in frustration. But... his anger only brought the woman more joy and she took to the seat beside him. He didn't give her the satisfaction of acknowledging her as he sat straight and lioked towards the shelves behind the bar.
The bartender brought him his drink and he could see the smirk on the worker's face just before he winked at him and moved to the back... leaving them alone.
Drew sighed and slid the drink to him. It was decorated with a big pink umbrella and two straws. He rolled his eyes as the woman gave a laugh as he ripped the umbrella out. The woman turned and rested her elbows on the bar but still looked at him. As he took a sip of his drink from both straws, her voice cut through the horrible singing in the background, "Who are you here with?"
He cut his eyes, slowly, then internally groaned before turning to her, "The obnoxious man with a mustache and mullet."
She snapped her attention to him with sincere sympathy, "You mean the serial trailer park douchebag? Jesus, WHY?"
Drew didn't owe this woman anything, but... it felt great to talk to someone who didn't say seriously every sentence. He sighed out with an almost depressed exclamation, "He's my cousin and he pretends to try to be socializing me so he can hit on women and drink alcohol on my tab."
The green eyes bore into his gaze with confusion and her sudden interest made his heart flutter frantically. Her brows furrowed deep and she downed her martini and turned towards him on the stool. He locked his eyes onto hers, but couldn't help notice how shapely her legs were. She sucked on her teeth and shook her head as she barked, "Why in the hell do you keep playing along? Do you secretly enjoy being used?"
Once again, he didn't owe this woman anything... yet he still engaged, "It gets my mother off my back about "meeting someone"... so, I guess I'll have to keep this up until either she dies... or I actually find a woman who wants a nerdy introvert who hates crowds, but loves conventions; lacks social skills, but loves people watching; and who hates physical contact, but yearns for it, too. Couldn't imagine too many people just squealing for a man like that."
He sipped his daiquiri and chastised himself for oversharing. This woman was far too beautiful to be listening to an older man's desperation. She made a rough noise that sounded like a horse huffing and he looked over at her, "Well fuck... aren't you a sob story. But... to be honest... you're the first decent man I've talked to in the last week. I got goosed at work and broke a man's wrist. Got cat called by all the construction workers and told I would be a great piece of meat in a gang bang sandwich. My boss just called me to tell me I was fired. And... to really top off my night..." her face went somber and she let out a very real sigh of disappointment, "... I got stood up."
He looked over at her and watched her spin back towards the counter and she stared at her glass. He saw the bartender peek around the corner and he signaled towards the woman. The bartender nodded and started making her another drink as Drew made a light chuckle, "Well... his loss is my gain." The bartender placed another martini beside her empty glass and Drew raised his almost empty daiquiri cup towards her, "To better times."
She smiled over at him and raised her cup up, "To better times." The two clinked their cups and shared a silent moment... one of the most comfortable silences he'd ever been in... until his cousin came over.
"Whoa, Drew... seriously... who is this hot babe?" Drew's eyes shut tight and mentally begged someone to either shut Ed up or just kill him now. Neither happened.
"Yo, Green. You don't want Drewbie Dubie over here, seriously. He doesn't know how to handle such a fine body like yours, seriously. Heh... I honestly don't think he's actually ever kissed a girl, seriously." The cup began to crack under the pressure of his hand as Ed slipped between him and the woman and he laughed. Just when it was about to shatter in his grip, the sound of the stool's legs scraping the floor made him look over just in time to watch the woman clear the distance, grip the front of his shirt, and yank him to her as she tilted her head and sucked on his lips.
The world stopped existing. The music went mute. The light all focused on them. And nothing else mattered. The five seconds of tasting the balm of her lipstick and the bitterness of the martini swirled with the plump static that buzzed against his mouth was the longest euphoric moment of his life. When she pulled away, still gripping his shirt with a strong tenacity, she didn't go very far. Just enough to look at him with glazed over eyes that searched his in sudden bafflement. He couldn't hear his cousin abandoning him because all his attention was on her. He remembered to breathe and she smiled at his gasping.
She loosened her grip and he watched her tongue glide between the blackened cushions before whispering out, "You taste like strawberries."
He cleared his throat and tried to awaken himself from this dream but all he could do was blush and swallow... but the woman wasn't quite done with him yet, "Sheila..."
He froze and looked up at her as if she spike another language and she tried again as she extended out her hand, "My name is Sheila."
He gave a smile and stood from the stool and slid his hand into her velvety grip, "Drew."
They both softly held the other's hand as they shyly took a moment. She looked over and he followed her gaze at his cousin leaving with three women in tow and she looked back at him, "Looks like you've been ditched. What do you say you come over to my place? I make a MEAN virgin strawberry daiquiri."
Drew took his hand back and saw her face scrunch in a momentary fear before he reached into his back pocket to take out his wallet and put a twenty dollar bill on the bar before putting it back into his pocket and smiling at her. She looked relieved. He grinned and offered his elbow out to her as he said, "You're much better company, anyways. Shall we?"
She shook her head and laughed, but wrapped her arms around his and they walked out as one of the singers on stage sang 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'.
