Blaine just laughed lightly at that, shrugging his shoulders, “I think I’ve just worked in a bar long enough to pick up a thing or two,” he reasoned, he’d never really been a wingman for anyone before, but he felt that he could talk Jake up enough if needed. He just had to focus on the good things, and from Blaine had seen, he seemed pretty cool. He leaned back against the bar as Jake called for the bartender, taking a drink of his own beer as he waited. He took this moment to study the group of girls, trying to find a way in if the drinks didn’t necessarily work. They still looked slightly intimidating, but he supposed they could just go and make casual conversation with them, so long as they weren’t being too imposing. That sounded like the most logical thing to do, he was calling that plan B, if the drink thing didn’t work.
Blaine hummed in response as he heard Jake talking, turning his head away from the group and turning back to face Jake instead, placing his drink on the bar. “Oh uh….oh,” Blaine started, eyebrows pulling together in confusion as he considered the question. He hadn’t really thought about it much before, but he supposed it was a reasonable question. He’d definitely heard worse. “Well uh…it depends really,” he started slowly, eyes pulling together as he tried to think of a way of phrasing things, “I mean, everyone is different, but I don’t think it’s the gender that makes them crazy, I think it’s their personality,” he paused, raising his beer to his lips and taking a drink again, letting his words settle before he carried on talking, “I mean, with Bas, I wouldn’t say it was any easier being with him just because he’s a guy, it’s easy with him because we just understand each other so well.” he added, hoping he was getting his point across properly. He didn’t know if he was making sense or not, but it was only because it was something that he’d never really thought about in detail before. He’d just accepted it, because it was who he was.
He turned away again, glancing towards the group and smiling brightly as the bartender pointed towards them both, this was definitely going well. He shot them a wink, before turning his attention back to Jake again, “But I mean, you’re straight, so you can’t tell me that all the girls you’ve been with have been crazy?” Blaine asked, raising an eyebrow as he spoke, catching a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye. He glanced away, smiling as the brunette Jake has pointed out earlier was approaching them. He nudged Jake as subtly as he could, before turning around properly and flashing the girl one of his brightest smiles. “Hey!”
