The New Masters - Cloud Gatherer - Is Complete!
Barely moved into their new house away from home, and the Portal Masters had already been kicked out. Eruptor couldn't focus on the kitchen with every single one of them building at the same time. Except for Oscar and Adrianna. His best friend was finished with his room and sitting comfortably with more magical books than George's entire bedroom had ever seen. Anna's work consisted of tending to plants and fluffing pillows. Her hand was already covered in dirt with smears of green grass under her fingernails before George and Ryeo departed, and still were when she caught up to them. Neither 'old' nor new Portal Master could tell if the Energetic Gardener even tried to clean herself up or learn a spell to do it for her.
Though the other hand, skin pale green and decorated with mossy vines, waved like there wasn't a pile of gardening mulch painting the matching side of her face. The Undead and Earth gave it about as much thought as the Life, not even mentioning the trio of leaves stuck in her massive auburn mane. Some of the Water-aligned individuals seemed ready to spray her down. Magical powerwashing. George kept looking back and forth between the Portal Masters and the rest of Skylands, still waiting for there to be a sunrise. Betting everything on there being another sunrise. A sunrise that beamed between his blinds and right into his eyes on the weekend, when he was trying to ignore it. When he'd roll over and ruffle his sheets, letting little Maria know he was awake. Getting her to jump on him and hit him with his own pillow until he pulled his blanket off of his head and played with her.
Please, let me have another sunrise.
The pit in George's stomach took a moment to catch up as he was yanked around a corner. Embers and a light haze of smoke puffed out of Ryeo's raven hair as she suddenly swerved to look for him. Adrianna followed, having gotten used to the Skylanders' Academy's relative safety and fining it shattered, but her gigantic hair kept moving and wrapped around her face. Four wooden fingers tipped in glowing green like venom dug through the brown wave, trying to pull it all out of her mouth. Plueh! both of her hands swatted at nothing for several seconds. Odds were she was stumbling toward either Ryeo or a super repressed and irritable Skylander and would be forced to blame the wind.
"Portal Master." Aurora steadied George by the shoulders once Ryeo (and eventually Adrianna) rounded the corner. The Sensei barely offered them a glance, but slightly spoke up. Not enough for any passerby like Initiates or other Skylanders to hear, just for the girls. He should've dragged Ozzie along to even them out. He needs to get out more often, anyway.
The Light Skylander's bright blue eyes, matching her renowned uncle, shifted between the three. "Master Eon hasn't told you everything about your arrival in Skylands. He thinks he's shielding you. He's wrong. He's only hiding that which you deserve to know." She squeezed George's shoulders with accusation. The grip of someone using a pair of curvy shortswords to block, deflect, parry, and counter multiple thugs at once.
"Does he have a way back?" George instantly cut off the Sensei. Adrianna perked from behind her hair and Ryeo's hands sparked with small embers that drifted away in the breeze.
Aurora shook her head. "My Uncle isn't wicked, just unagreeable." She tightened her stance as if in verbal combat and straightened her back like a soldier. "George, you weren't the first Portal Master to arrive." She confirmed.
