I wish we knew more about what happened to earth after it was saved in Project Hail Mary
I've been re-reading the book and thinking of all of the implications of an extremely powerful, basically renewable, energy source that has been spread to labs all across the world.
Like think about it! This is huge, so many conflics are motivated by the pursuit of energy production. And now there is this new energy source in labs everywhere! Its a lot harder to monopolize something like that, because the barrier to producing the stuff is co2, a bright ass light, and heat (as far as I remember anyway, feel free to correct me.)
So if humanity can learn how to utilize this on a large scale, imagine how this could change the world! I don't really know much past the basics of energy production, but from what I do know, this would revolutionize literally everything. So much about the economy would change. Energy would be so much cheeper! There's so many things that would change that I don't think I could put even a fraction of the amount in this post.
There would certainly be detrimental things as well, such as a lot more avenues for destruction unfortunately, we saw how much damage 1mg of the stuff did. And with how easy it is to make the stuff? People seeking to do harm would have absolutely no problem doing that. In the book they discussed how the energy produced from the Astrophage could easily rival nuclear weaponry. Again, the Astrophage is everywhere now, every country now has this.
It would change the entire trajectory of the future of humanity and I would have loved to see the beginnings of that future.
I've been thinking about how the beginning of Grace's story on earth mirrors his final time on earth. This is mostly based on the book because its slightly different in the movie.
At the beginning when Grace is instructed to find out what the Astrophage is, he finds out the reason for him being the first to analyze it. (aside from having a doctorate in microbiology) the reason being that Stratt wanted to make sure that the Astrophage couldn't infect people or get through protective equipment before exposing it to the rest of the world's scientists.
Quite literally her first intention with Grace was for him to possibly die. She took him against his will to the lab knowing full well that there was a possibility that he might die. And that was her intention, she exposed only him to the Astrophage on purpose.
He had no idea that she was thinking any of that until they talked on the second day. He just got lucky that it didnt kill him.
Really, this was foreshadowing Stratt's character, and her willingness to let him die for the cause. The only thematic difference between this first interaction and her betrayal was that he was fully aware of the death awaiting him.
Stratt was willing to sacrifice him from day 1.
it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.

I made a Nightwing necklace!
I've finally started writing my own fanfic recently, and I've gotten pretty far in the one I'm working on!
I usually write at 11-12 during the night. So I end up forgetting exactly what I wrote. So when I wake up, I get to reread what I wrote,
It's been so much fun each time.
The fuck my ribs hurting i don't even were a bra
I painted my nails for pride month!
Does anyone else just like hearing noises? Not every noise, but like, metal noises. Like chains clinking or coins sliding together.
I have a little sword and sheath trinket that i attached to my phone case, and it makes little clinking noises that make me so happy. Adds a little flavor to life I think.
I forget that I can just say stuff here a lot
I decorated this at an activity thing, it's janky, but I love it.
Here's an in progress Pic of an art project I'm doing.

Soooo I may have made a book with @amevello-blue's Ghost in the shell. It's a lil janky because this is my first time doing anything like this, but I just had to! GitS gives me all the emotions, and I really wanted to make something cool for this fic. Really just as a thank you to Amevello for making such an amazing story.
Also if you see this and somehow have not read Ghost in the Shell, GO READ IT AT ONCE! I promise you won't regret it. Here's the link:

I was deciding what to draw and thought, "I bet @somerandomdudelmao's little creature would look really cool as a dragon." So now this exists.
I used this post as a reference:
if ur lil bunsona had colors what color would they be? :0 ill be honest in that i mush ur name into one sound and it's taph so i keep imagin
I tried to match the art style. It's interesting, I've never not used lineart before. It's new to me, so if you have any tips, I would be glad to hear them!
Also, if Cass sees this, I hope you like it!
