After battling with PCOS and infertility my daughter and son in law are expecting! We prayed and god answered, grand baby #3 is due May 19th, we should know in 10 days what god has blessed us with.
It’s been a while since I posted on here, but I’m 9 months post op, down 72 lbs, and down to an 11/12 in jeans from a 24/26! I’m only 26 lbs from my goal of 150!!!
My progress so far :) 18 weeks post op :)
40 lbs lighter and way under the 250 lb limit on the carousel! Got to ride it with my granddaughter yesterday, she was so excited :) I just love her to pieces! Weight loss surgery is changing my life for the better!!!
Crushing my goals! My goal was walk 20 miles a week and get at least 60 thousand steps... Blew it out of the water!!!
Part of my daily routine, logging everything I eat, how much exercise I am getting, and water log. Trying to up my game and drink more water, but it's very hard to do, when everything either tastes too sweet or horrible there is no in between!
Even though the scale hasn't moved much so far this week, I took my measurements again, my first measurement was the day before surgery, then 2 weeks after, and now at 5 weeks :) I think this is progress!!!
This is a regular meal for me now, 2 tablespoons worth of food. Shrimp, rice, cauliflower/sweet potato mix, and banana.
At my heaviest I was 316, then got stuck at 250 for 2 years!!! Down to 225 in 25 days, see my surgeon on Monday hoping to get the green light to go ahead and exercise :) This has been rough, this is defiantly not an easy way out, by no means, if this surgery has thought me anything so far is that it's about life changing choices and not compromises.
My first grandson :) due July 31, 2017! My son is honoring his best friend who passed away by naming him Elijah Drake. Couldn't be happier for his little family.
14 lbs down so far in 2 weeks :) starting to see a difference in my face :)
Post-Op
Holy demons of gas!!! They are no joke!!! Gas pains are the worst, then you have milk and realize you can't digest it, and you spend 12 hours in extreme pain because you can't digest it. The pain after surgery hasn't been bad at all, haven't taken my pain meds in the last few days but the other night after making cream of chicken diluted with fat free milk, the pain was so bad I had to take some, and then I still tossed and turned in pain! Overall recovery has been good, my husband receives a gold star for taking such good care of me, and it's just learning what my body can handle at this point :(
Went out today grocery shopping even though I'm still on full liquids :) Down 10 lbs!
Surgery went well, feeling great, but having a lot of gas pain which sucks by the way!
