It's Pokemon Day and Pokemon is now 30 years old! This game single-handedly series raised me.
Generally when you're putting something together and you think 'these idiots put the holes in the wrong spot!" it's you who is making the mistake
That being said . . . I'm becoming increasingly convinced Suncast put these fucking holes in the wrong spot
Posted this, went back outside, and immediately realized the the holes I thought were centered are actually off to one side, and I was trying to install the beam upside down. "You are the one making the mistake here" remains undefeated

"Vanderhorst had been under the influence of MDMA and three litres of vodka she had consumed on the night of the offence last September, her lawyer Michael Hill told the court."
three. liters.

Sometimes someone will be like "everyone wants to blame mega-corporations for destroying the planet but we need to reckon with the fact that our own rampant consumerism is what props up these mega-corporations, and if we ever want to change the system people need to be willing to make sacrifices and make sustainable choices even if it's harder or more expensive"
And every single time there's an onslaught of comments like "oh you think we can just bootstrap our way out of this? You think we can find individual solutions for systemic problems? What about people who live in FOOD DESERTS and HAVE to buy meat to live? What about people who HAVE to drive cars in order to have a JOB? What about people who HAVE to shop at Walmart because they're POOR?? You want poor people to just DIE???"
And it's really a damning indictment that none of these people will engage with the substance of the issue which is that it's not actually vital to your survival to fill your house with shein clothing, and endless amounts of plastic knickknacks, and temu shit that will break after three uses, because if they engaged with the point of the argument instead of finding the farthest-fetched interpretations of it they'd have to admit that their own lifestyle choices are in fact part of the problem.
