Facebook is like jail, you sit around and waste time, you write on walls and you get poked by people you don’t know.

One of my friends showed me this. It is so funny... well, its funny for everyone but him, haha
One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple.
Jack Kerouac, The Dharma Bums (via writingadvice)
A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.
English Proverb
Before turning to those moral and mental aspects of the matter which present the greatest difficulties, let the inquirer begin by mastering the more elementary problem.
Sherlock Holmes (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.

You can never underestimate the stupidity of the general public.

Life is just one damned thing after another.

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.
John Burroughs (via madaeli26)
No price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary. Then ask yourself, and yourself alone, one question. This question is one that only a very old man asks. My benefactor told me about it once when I was young, and my blood was too vigorous for me to understand it. Now I do understand it. I will tell you what it is: Does this path have a heart? All paths are the same: they lead nowhere. They are paths going through the bush. In my own life I could say I have traversed long, long paths, but I am not anywhere. My benefactor’s question has meaning now. Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn’t, it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn’t. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you.
by Carlos Castaneda in The Teachings of Don Juan
Does this path have a heart?
I find something noble and courageous in Japan’s resilience and perseverance, and it will be on display in the coming days. This will also be a time when the tight knit of Japan’s social fabric, its toughness and resilience, shine through. And my hunch is that the Japanese will, by and large, work together — something of a contrast to the polarization and bickering and dog-eat-dog model of politics now on display from Wisconsin to Washington.

There are some pretty big names working on this, let’s hope it is good!
This game looks awesome. I can't wait to try it!
This is an interesting blog post by a CNN blogger. I'm not to taken with politics, but it was an interesting topic - one I've thought about a lot. Is the government broken? One of my favorite responses was that of Jason:
"Yes, and no I no longer care about the next election Jack, I care more about the next revolution, American revolution. It's time."
Read some of the other responses. Some of them have interesting perspectives.
Popular opinion is the greatest lie in the world.
