OP wove a traditional Chinese-style cover for her essential balm. Cnetizens also shared their handmade woven cases.
(fengyoujing风油精, literally wind oil essential, like tiger balm, it’s a daily household item in China. The light green liquid has a strong refreshing scent. Dab it on your temples and neck in summer to stay awake. It relieves itching and swelling from bug bites, especially mosquito bites, and eases dizziness and mild car sickness too.)(cr国家特级铲shi官)
Being physically strong does kinda mess with your head when you have health problems I think. Like you know that logically your muscle mass isn’t gonna stop you from having a sleep disorder or asthma or whatever but when it happens anyways you’re like damn life really doesn’t work like comic books huh? Frankly I am disappointed.
I’m a little bit annoyed at popular humor that characterizes menstruation as the uterus throwing a fit because it wants a baby. no it doesn’t. here’s my alternative anthropomorphic script. it’s no less embarrassing but at least I’m right:
henchperson: uh, boss? You know how a couple weeks ago, me and the girls put up that barrier against invaders, extra thick, just like you asked?
boss: yes…
henchperson: weeeel, the good news is no invaders this month.
boss: and the bad news? spit it out, already
henchperson: weeeeeel, we made it out of wet tissue again, boss. so we’re going to have to peel it off and put up a new one before it gets all nasty, you see…
boss: why is everything wet tissue with you people? get that thing out of my sight!

The problem with terms like AMAB/AFAB/TME/TMA and basically anything else that covers similar ground is not with the terms themselves. They're very useful tools that exist for a specific purpose, and are to be used within their context. The problem emerges when these tools are misapplied. Very specifically, when people are unable to extract themselves from the bias machine that is binary gender as a philosophical framework and just keep going back to simply reforming binarized gender identity, but with incrementally more polite terminology that inevitable lands back in the place it started in. This is because it is always used as a method to sort people on a personal level, which inevitably ends up in generating bias. It's impossible to not develop this kind of bias when you convince yourself there are fundamentally only two types of people in the world. This will never stop unless we get over gender. We've known this for decades.
This is actually such a crucial part of healing from neglect and abuse and I have to add to this.
Because indeed, people who like you will not roll their eyes and sigh at the idea of accommodating your needs, they will value your voice and be upset with you about injustice done to you, not at you for "being difficult". They will be happy when you find a way to live a better life, and help you to get there. If you are struggling, someone who loves you wants to see you smile, not tell you to smile because "you have it so good".

they got married btw
oh you’re not kidding
im a protected species you fucking asshole
Look, I think the whole r/AccidentalAlly joke is a bit played out myself, but this is NOT a proportional response!
In fact I think you ought to report this account before blocking for this heinous bs
i get why people don't believe in marriage as a social construct but legally it is the best and easiest way to say "this is who i trust to take care of me when i can't take care of myself" and i'm so glad gay people fought for that right bc when shit gets scary at least i know im in good hands
this orange was pregnant. Isn’t the world amazing
ive been thinking about how some trans spaces and media lack representation of bottom surgery and itd be nice if we could talk about and depict it more. but my attempts to formulate this into a coherent thought lead me to standing in front of the microwave idly thinking "we should normalize men with penises" as if thats a brave new frontier nobody has ever considered.
I like this post. Because it shows that sometimes, what at the surface sounds like reinforcement of the norm, is actually necessary for a minority that's not included in the norm.
Y'all have seen this post, right?
It was a vaguepost of a trans man who complained about feeling pressure to be feminine. Yet people refer to it completely outside of queer context.

I do think the post that's like "when they torture you to insanity and then torture you for being insane 😂🤣" is one of the most succinct and foundational analyses of interpersonal violence and conflict that had ever been written
