Blinking as he looked up from his book, Hisoka tried to process exactly what the words meant. Was he-? Did he mean-? Suddenly he really wished Daedalus had worded that more precisely. A faint blush grew on his cheeks, he took a breath. “Er… like… sleeping or…?” He stumbled out, awkwardly shifting his book. He probably just made that a lot more awkward than the other male had intended, but-.
Hisoka couldn’t help a smirk at the response. Brutal honesty… it was a trait that rarely held merit. But it was something he could appreciate a lot. When he spoke again, the teen blinked in mild surprise. He’d remembered. That was… pretty cool. “Am I supposed to be impressed that you remembered?” The words were lighter than normal, if only slightly as he attempted a slightly teasing tone. Or at least, what he thought to be one. It wasn’t what he was used to, but what part of this was? The teen gave a slightly thoughtful look, trying to figure out exactly how it would work. “Well… depends on if you need to work tomorrow, I guess, if if you care about the commute.” He shrugged, trying to keep his tone from drifting too far into the ‘matter of fact’ area. Preference was hardly an issue for the shinigami. “I’m fine either way.”
Daedalus shrugged. "It was something that stuck out in my mind so it's pretty hard for me to forget." He smirked when Hisoka brought up commuting to work. "Hmm, well seeing as it's not a national holiday tomorrow, and even then it's not certain, yes I do have to go to work tomorrow. As for the commute, well how early do you think I'd have to get up in order to make it to the hospital by, say, 7:30 in the morning?" There was a teasing tone to his words, almost as if he didn't expect the teen to give him an honest answer. "If it's okay with you, we could stay at my place tonight. It's- well you've been there often enough that I think you know where everything is. If you'd feel more comfortable at your place that's cool too."
