Sanemi, to me is a character I could literally rant about for hours. He’s very misunderstood and misinterpreted by the fandom, which I like to type about when I can think. I’ve done some research and he definitely shows signs of PTSD with his aggression and impulsivity (which is NOT how everyone with PTSD is, but it’s a symptom), which is a response to the trauma he went through. He was so gentle as a child, and it’s crazy how completely he changed, how much he struggles to get along with others and adjust to being around others, especially with his time alone after he killed his mother.
He mistakes friendliness for creepiness , or mockery, as shown with his interactions with Masachika. His actions aren’t excusable, but it’s so important to see where he’s coming from and why he may be the way he is yk?

It pisses me off so bad when the KNY fandom gets so pressed about “modesty” 😭. D riding people who censor Mitsuri’s uniform talking about “this looks so much better!” “Our modest queen!” Bro .
And this happens in a lot of other fandoms, and it just makes me so mad because like dude, it’s not that deep. Can it be unnecessary, sure, but some of you guys will see a character like Mitsuri and boil her down so much just based on what she’s wearing and it’s so annoying. Just enjoy the show bro.

Hello hello! I need help with this server which is pretty much done as of now, aside from tweaking that needs to be done! I was hoping that there would be people willing to join! You can have up to three characters (oc or cc), must be 14 or above! We’re open to aus or canon divergence as long as it doesn’t revive light or L, since in this server, there are new Kiras and Ls! You can also be a Shinigami if that interests you!

The teen froze, his eyes wide. Sanemi was addressing him, by his name. His given name, not anything else.
Sanemi’s fists shook, teeth bared and grit, he spoke frantically, sweat and rain trailing down his face, his eyes glossing over, shining in the dim, barely there light that the penetrated the blanket of clouds above.
Genya’s eyes widened as he watched his brother’s lips begin to wobble.
“I can’t lose you out here! I can’t ever lose you, ever!” He shouted over the downpour. His voice straining to stay steady, even as he lost his composure, even has his fears began to shine through his words. “Not like this, Genya! You’re supposed to die old and happy, with a big ass family. You’re not supposed to be *doomed* out here with *me!*” His body deflated, head falling forwards, fist balling in the fabric of his shirt. “Stop following me! Stop!..” He let out a puff of breath before going on. “*Please*! I don’t wanna see you, don’t you understand?” He lifted his head again, spitting out the last part with such aggression, it made Genya wince instinctively.
Sanemi felt a pang of regret, but he pushed it away and just kept shouting. “You’re so selfish! You’re just a *kid*! A damn kid who doesn’t know what he’s doing!” He reached up and grabbed fistfuls of his soaking wet hair, squeezing harshly before he quickly let go when he felt the harsh tug at his roots. “Leave! Leave this place! Why can’t you leave??”
Genya’s body grew tense, shoulders rising and hands shaking, he curled them into fists before he shouted back. “Why can’t you be my *brother*??”
Sanemi froze at that, his face painted with nothing but guilt, eyes wide, watery, visible even through the rain.
Genya hated seeing him like that, looking like he was small, it was a look he’d only seen once before.
The memory of separation still stung deeply, how they’d clung and ran after each other until their final moments, until those cruel, sick people pulled them away. He could hear Sanemi’s anguished screams echoing in his mind. Maybe he was selfish, a damn selfish brat for putting his brother through this heartbreak again.
Sanemi had to push himself to say his next words, even if it hurt, hurt so bad he felt like he’d throw up from the sheer agony of it. He knew it was for the best, it had to be for the best, it would make Genya leave finally, surely. Then he wouldn’t die out here, die a fool.
He stared at him, at his youthful face, his eyelashes dampening with surfacing tears, a look Sanemi was used to seeing. It hurt how Genya always cried, and now he was going to cry again. The only thing that calmed him was Sanemi, ever since he was a baby, Sanemi and his mom.. were the only ones that could put a smile on his face.
Sanemi’s jaw tightened, tears spilling over.
That smile.. it.. it was all he wanted. It was all he wanted to see again, and now he eas going to take it away, but not forever.
One day it would be okay, and Genya would understand, as an old man, *alive*.
Sanemi finally managed to choke it out. “We stopped being brothers the day they took you away. I haven’t had a brother since then, and I don’t need one. I never..” He shook violently, forcing his gaze to remain on Genya, who was breaking before him. “I never want to see you again. Ever. You’re just a burden to me.”
Silence. And then,
“…A burden, you hear me??” He snapped. “Now leave!”
Genya shook his head slowly, his expression contorting into one of anger. He bristled, his form beginning to grow larger.
His nose and mouth began to elongate outwards, morphing into a furry snout, his ears grew pointed and migrated farther back. His nails grew out sharper, like his teeth, which were beginning to form fangs.
Sanemi stepped back as his brother transformed a few seconds longer, beginning to snarl lowly as he did. He ended up on all fours, large front paws pressing against the muddy ground.
Sanemi stood there, completely baffled until he realized just what Genya wanted. A fight.
Sanemi’s face darkened before he reached to his side and pulled his sword from its scabbard, then holding it in front of himself while Genya crouched down and growled. Sanemi knew he was just trying to prove himself, but he would squash it down before he even had the chance to convince anyone.
Genya rushed toward him, jaws opened to reveal sets of sharp teeth.
Sanemi remained where he was, lips pressed into a thin line as the wolf rushed toward him.
Genya felt something sharp slide over his skin, then the rush of something warm, spilling out from the fresh wound. The pang of pain that shot through him was unbearable and his legs gave out, causing him to fall face first into the sticky mud below.
Sanemi stood, not facing him, sword at his side, blood leaking from the sharp edge.
Genya’s form shrunk down and he cried out, hand going to where Sanemi had cut. He gasped as he pressed against it, then quickly pulled away. Frantically, his eyes darted around before landing again on his brother, who slowly sheathed his blade.
“Sanemi!” He cried out.
The other didn’t answer, didn’t turn his body.
Genya’s heart was racing, chest rising and falling rapidly. “Sanemi, I’m sorry, please!”
Sanemi’s teeth dug into his bottom lip to try and stop it from wobbling, his eyes beginning to sting.
Genya cried for him, writhing in pain, panicked as he saw his blood on his hand and clothes.
Sanemi didn’t look at him once, didn’t move a muscle as tears streamed down his face. This was for the best, he’d become what Genya hated most, and Genya would leave.. he’d know better, and leave.
Sanemi took a step forward, then another.
Genya reached out his shaking, bloodied hand. “Nemi!”
Keep walking.
“Sanemi!”
Don’t look back. He won’t die, you didn’t cut deep enough.
Genya squeezed his eyes shut, and as Sanemi grew distant, he began to scream. “You *will* accept me! You will! Sanemi! You will call me your brother again one day!” *He let out a few pants before he laid back.

Obanai had made sure the door was locked, and kept their lights off. At this time, it would mean they were asleep.
But not right now.
They stared at the knife in their hands, fixated on the way Sanemi’s blood just seemed to blend so smoothly into the metal, orange and red hues staining its pristine surface..
They brought it towards their mouth, a thrill of excitement causing shivers to go up their spine. They laved their tongue over the cool surface, going slow as not to cut themself. They let the taste of iron sit for a long while, eyes lidded as they imagined how much better it would be if the blood was warm.. how exhilarating it was to sink their blade into Sanemi’s flesh and cut him up like paper..
They thought about the contrast of red on Mitsuri’s skin.. how blood would bubble into her throat after they’d slashed it, and a blush crept across their cheeks. They could lick at all her wounds, relish in the taste of her blood as they drew more.. and more..
They must be completely crazy to want to hurt her like that.. but they didn’t feel any guilt. Strangely enough, they could only feel happy.
For my horror au — a young Mitsuri has a strange encounter.
Even though she was little, Mitsuri could remember the very day she’d seen it.
It was a quiet night at the dinner table, her mother had just gone upstairs to sleep after a long day of work, and a quick meal.
Her father was on the couch, watching TV mindlessly, leaving her alone at the table in her tall chair
She slurped up the last of her thick noodles, chewing quickly and looking around the room until her eyes landed on the semi-open window, which was letting in the cool breeze.
The curtains blew gently, parting to reveal nothing but the back gate’s silvery outline, which was illuminated by the moon.
She stared for a while, watching the curtains open and close, closing her eyes and listening to the sounds of crickets.
When the noise abruptly stopped, she opened her eyes again and looked outside, swallowing down her tough-to-chew food and slowly setting her hands back on the table.
The back light flickered to life, revealing someone who.. just stood there in the grass, wearing a dark sweater and gloves, with pants that went down to their boots.
She blinked, then frowned, her stomach feeling like it has churned. She let out a soft whimper and looked to the living room quickly, before she brought her gaze back to the stranger.
They remained motionless, their face, which she thought was surely warped in some way, only half illuminated by the back light.
She kept her eyes on them, realizing now that she was too frightened to look away. She whimpered again and kicked her feet slightly, opening her mouth finally to call out. “Papa?” In a wavering voice.
“Hm?” He replied, half-asleep in the living room.
Mitsuri tore her eyes away and turned her head. “There’s a man outside…”
A brief pause, before she heard the sounds of creaking, followed by her father’s footsteps as he entered the kitchen.
He stood in the entryway for a moment before he sighed and walked towards her. “..Suri, that’s nothing to joke about.”
She paused before she looked back quickly, blinking in surprise when she saw.. nothing. Nobody. The light was off as well.
She relaxed as her father’s hands slid under her arms and lifted her from her seat.
“You scared me..” He chided before he set his hand under her legs, holding her in a bridal carry. He turned and began to walk off, towards the staircase that led to her bedroom.
She tried lifting her head to look back at the window, but at that point, there was a wall concealing it.
