Hi y'all! So sorry it's been ages since my last outfit post. School completely took over my life since this year started, and now I finally have time to blog about what I've been wearing lately. Yay! Oddly enough, I'm currently digging this knit sweater. I know it's summer already (it's so darn hot, it feels like I'm in a huge frying pan) but thankfully, the weather was bearable that day haha. I wore this during my talk at Colegio de San Juan de Letran last month. I was invited to be one of the speakers in Letran JMA's event entitled "Blogging: Emergence of Social Media Marketing". And yes, I talked about fashion blogging! It was my first time and it's such a very fulfilling thing when you got the chance to share your own experiences. I'm still overwhelmed and so happy!

On to the outfit, I'm really loving this “effortlessly put together” style! Over the past few years, I always think that I usually tend to overdress. I never mean to, it just happens lol. But now, I like the idea of being comfortable, care free and look effortless. So, yeah! That’s it for tonight. Happy weekends! :)

MOVIE REVIEW: LIFE AFTER BETH

Last August 19, I got the chance to watch the advanced screening of "Life After Beth" at Greenbelt 3. Thanks to my awesome friend, Aicha!

Life After Beth is one of the movies worth paying to see in theaters this year. It’s a creative charmer that shows the typical movie scenarios of young love amidst chaos and disaster, but with a new twist. It is a story set in the life of Zach (Dane DeHaan) and his girlfriend Beth (Aubrey Plaza). The film gets going when Beth mysteriously dies and rises from the dead and eventually discovers that she has a newfound appetite for human.

It’s a zombie movie so expect blood and flesh-eating scenes (very minimal, so don't worry!). But, unlike most movies in cult film genre, Life After Beth has injected every scene with humor courtesy of the stellar cast of comic veterans, such as John Reilly, Paul Reiser, Molly Shannon and Cheryl Hinds, together with the newest Hollywood hottie, Dane DeHaan and young break through stars, Audrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick.

Playing up just the right mix of romance, drama, spooky and comedy, this movie will leave every film goer in a constant laughter. There are so many clever lines and bits of physical comedy. And I swear to God, it's so hilarious! You'll literally laugh out loud. Cheers to "Life After Beth" for taking us in a different direction for a change, proving that yes, there is indeed love after the zombie apocalypse.

It will be on screens tomorrow, September 3! Don't dare miss it!!!

It has been awhile but you already knew that. Taking a break from Drei Loves Hue (especially posting fashion friday) is not what I had in mind, but it just happened that way. I hope to get back on track, and put whatever hesitations I had from posting aside. Just bear with me and thank you all so much for sticking around! I have been receiving support and recognition lately and it's amazing to see people enjoying something I truly love doing. More of the same and a lot of new! I hope you've all been well, and I hope you’ll continue to join me as I navigate and grow.

So anyway, let's talk about my get up! Well, I feel really limited and almost lazy when it comes to clothes lately because of the bipolar weather. I'm looking for comfort, practicality and something fun. And this is what I came up with! How'd you like my Adventure Time dress? Isn't it the loveliest? :)

PAGBILAO APRIL 2014

A perfect sweet escape from the hustle and bustle of city life! Pueblo Por La Playa is an exclusive leisure club by the beach that offers white sand, clear emerald waters and two huge infinity pool. It was back in 2010 when I first visited this resort in Pagbilao, Quezon. Back then, I didn't get the chance to enjoy the place since some of the things in the beachfront area wasn't settled yet. This exquisite resort is probably still out of travelers' hideaway radar, which I think is a good thing! Haha.

The place is nothing but captivating!!! It enticed us into spending considerable time bumming around and take hundreds of photographs and videos.

Also, i'm in love with the beachfront bench! Great for relaxing and enjoying the ocean breeze and soothing sound of waves. Oh, the feels! Please bring me back to Pueblo!!!

Cafe Oaxaca serves Mexican and Filipino foods. I really love the taste of their dishes, really flavorful! And what I love more is that they come in big servings. Medyo food tripping talaga peg namin that day eh. haha loljk!

I know that there are a lot of beautiful beaches here in the Philippines (and yes, my Boracay experience is beyond compare) but what I can boast about Pueblo Por La Playa is that it gives a different kind of rhythm, that sophisticated rustic feel and of course, that Mexican vibe.

I haven't done an outfit post in what feels like forever. I seem to have times when I'm fixated on clothes, must-have items and what I'm wearing and then other times when it's the complete opposite. I felt like I've got nothing to wear too! Purchasing clothes haven't been much of a focus for me recently since I started paying for my life insurance and I'm saving up for my supposed to be summer adventure in Davao but end up canceling it after I booked a non-refundable airfare due to revoked parental consent (hashtag creys huhu).

Now, to the outfit! This was probably just acceptable in the early evening when the sun was about to set. Layering clothes is a great way to look chic but layering during summer is a suicide. But you know, "tiis ganda" ang peg ko most of the time! lol. Oh btw, my shortest hair to date says hi :)
