years ago I made an oc (my baby ivy) that now Im changing her whole story and decided to make it an isekai, and while thinking about the original I realised I inspired hery too much on shen jiu (for her personality) and now Im thinking about them as one

og!ivy is a transgirl (ivy is also a transgirl but died before transitioning, so waking up in the body of a woman was incredible to her), when she transitioned, she started dressing hyper feminine to pass as a woman, so people would see her as an actual woman and not realize she used to have a male body, shes scared that people will see through her, realise who she used to be and not acknowledge her

I cant stop thinking about transgirl shen jiu doing the same, not wanting people to know she used to be a filthy man

even better bc when ivy woke up in the body of og!ivy, at first she also did the same, until she started not giving a fuck about just being herself, still feminine, but not caring if others wouldn't see her as such, not minding about looking a little masculine sometimes

and now imagine transgirl shen yuan doing the same after transmigrating, tho I dont see why she wouldn't transition before dying, but I can totally see her not realizing she's trans until she's on sj's body and realises not only she doesn't care about being a woman now, but she actually like it and feels much better like this! but she still doesn't care about not being hyper feminine, even better bc shen jiu looks very androgynous

This is something I'd strongly recommend visiting @creatingblackcharacters for as their blog is filled to the brim already with references, both for writing and drawing. I know if you type in tutorial over there, some will pop up

I am very bad at tutorials and there's really not one good simple way to go about how to explaining drawing Black characters in one singular tutorial.

Also, STRONGLY recommend looking at actual images of real life Black people (actors, singers, models, general photos and selfies) just to understand how varied features can be.

(honestly in general, I'mma just plug CBC whenever someone asks me on art tips for Black characters because there's a rock solid resource right there and I just lack the ability to put my own knowledge into words)

not my tweet or my fic (and there’s a good chance of this comment being a bot) but yeah, don’t do this. sure, some writers wouldn’t mind having fanfics (or direct continuation) of their fanfics written by someone else. some may even be thrilled and happy. but the fandom etiquette is that if you want to write a fanfic or a continuation of someone’s fanfic, YOU POLITELY ASK THE WRITER FOR THEIR PERMISSION. not their readers.

also 5 months isn’t long at all. 5 months is 5 minutes when it comes to fanfics. I’ve waited years for my favorite fics to get updated (one of my favorite fanfics was updated by the author after 13 years) and I’ve never said anything to them about “it’s been ___ years, I don’t think it will get updated anymore”. because another fandom / fanfic etiquette is that fanfic writers write for free in their free time, they don’t owe you anything. maybe they will update one day. maybe they won’t. if you want your favorite fic to get updated, you comment something like “this is good!! I’m excited for what happens next” and maybe your positive comment will motivate the author to update. but you don’t say “it’s been ___ months or years”. fanfics writers write for themselves and their own enjoyment. they’re just kind enough to let you read their works for free. stop being rude and entitled to fanfic writers.

Potentially really interesting if Qiu Haitang saw Qiu Jianluo as an overall kind, but slightly overbearing person, and she specifically tried to shield Shen Jiu from his bad moods. To her, she kept him from being on the receiving end of Qiu Jianluo’s occasional tempers, making sure he had every reason to feel safe and welcomed. She doesn’t understand why Shen Jiu killed everyone when she worked so hard to make sure he never suffered a day! When Gege got mad, it was her who couldn’t go to the market, her who didn’t get dessert, her who had to wake up early! Not him! A-Jiu flinches at loud noises, of course she wouldn’t let him get yelled at, of course she brushes his hair when he looks tired, of course she asks him to play when Gege’s footsteps are loud! Why why why would he destroy her life?!

going back to this post I made on how I thought svsss was like before reading it but Im finally doing an au of it

(reminder that this is how I saw it BEFORE reading it, when I had little to no information about the book, I tried my best to adapt it to the actual story, but a LOT of things will change and some won't make much sense if u think too much about the original)

first off, some changes from the original svsss novel: original sqq is NOT sj, he has always been sy ; I didnt knew pidw was a porn novel but I think that's crucial to it so I'll keep it like that ; pidw still has plot holes but lots of hints are given to what xf actually wanted it to be (I actually thought it had no plot holes but again, I'm keeping it bc its also important) ; sqq's personality is a mix of sj and sy (don't ask how that affects sj's backstory, I didnt thought much onto that) ; system isn't bingzu or any other bingbing, it's just a normal system ; ofc there is no peerless cucumber since sy was never from the modern world, but lbh's username is as know as him for being the "sqq obsessed" who "reads for the bastard villain and doesn't seem to care about the actual protagonist" and who "fights people who talk badly about sqq"

now following to the actual idea

lbh is a normal person in the modern world who is absolutely obsessed with pidw, but not bc of the porn, and also not bc of the plot, but bc he is absolutely in love with the scum villain of it

he started reading on a random night where he was bored and thought "why not?", he didnt really care about it at first, it was just a thing to do when he had nothing else, until he shows up, shen qingqiu, the bastard who fucked up the perfect protagonist, and while everyone and their mama was hating on him in the comments, lbh feel in love

he knew since the start that there was more to him, there should be!! yes, the novel was supposed to show off the protagonist, his point of view, but the hints were there!! sqq wasn't that cruel! lbh was sure of that! but man it was hard to defend him when everyone else hated him

you could say lbh basically became a sqq yumeshipper, so he was totally heartbroken reading how sqq had such a cruel fate and started cursing the author for that, saying he deserves better, and then dies by food poisoning (obviously)

so when he wakes up, body aching in so much pain he can barely move, with a voice screaming at him thing like "bastard, why are you lazyng around?!" and "there's so much to do!" he takes a minute to process what's happening and that the person who keep screaming at him even when he wasn't paying attention was ming fan, and that he not only transmigrated into pidw, but he did so in the body of the great protagonist!

he goes do what mf told him all while talking with the system, receiving some explanations for his new life: he was talking shit about the novel for giving sqq such a cruel ending, so now he has the opportunity to give him that better ending and in bonus fix plot holes and unlock character's bakcstories (like sqq's) and hidden plots that weren't in the original too

the points giving would be basically the same, but instead of being "protagonist points" they will be "villain points" (basically making sqq the source power of the system, like lbh was in svsss) and lbh also gets points for new achievements as the protagonist

he does the mission to unlock ooc and also decides he is going to make the best of it and enjoy his new life, not only is he the protagonist, but he also gets to give his favorite a better life! and maybe, who knows, win his heart, even if he didnt it was fine as long as sqq got a better ending, but he would definitely try!

and when he actually gets to see and talk to sqq? OH BOY he's so down bad he almost forgets he is in the body of the person sqq hates the most, and damn thats gonna be a hard mission

he recollects all hints pidw gave about sqq's past, which isnt much, but for those who payed attention (and lbh payed extra attention to anything related to sqq) it wasn't hard to tell (maybe a little, but lbh is that obsessed) that he had a hard past, and that yqy was clearly close to him at some point (he's just so obsessed he did millions of character analyses with all the crumbs of information he had)

so he first tries to make his shizun not hate him that much, he learns what he does that makes sqq get mad, tries to avoid doing so, slowly starts to do things to win sqq's favor, tries to notice any hints sqq gives him not only in his words but in his actions, he slowly starts to notice some small things no one else seemed to notice about his shizun

he notices how his shizun seems to be more gentle to the few girls, especially nyy, he notices how he always hide behind his fan, life he doesn't want people to look at him and try to read him, he notices how he's always looking around like he's constantly paranoid of his surroundings, notices how he's always fixing his posture and appearance, like its all just performance

as a side quest, lbh also gets closer to nyy, not bc he plans to wife her up in the future, he definitely doesn't want a big haten of girls! he doesn't even like girls and he's sure of that! he gets closer to her because he always liked her character, and bc she was a good company and she was always so sweet to him too

he tried with mf too, which was as hard as with his shizun, though he gave more importance to sqq than mf, so he focused on the shizun

also meng mo would probably find out lbh is a transmigrator since he's literally living inside his head, or maybe just realise he's from another world, idk I didnt think much about it- but lbh could maybe talk to him about it and just find a way to work things out

when the imortal conference alliance came, he only managed to make sqq slightly less hateful to him, ofc it didnt stop lbh from being thrown into the abyss, and boy he wasn't prepared...

pidw barely mentioned how it was there, it was just said lbh suffering like he was in hell and it let fans imagine how it was, bit to be actually living said hell? the only thing that gave lbh motivation to keep going was thinking that when he came out, he could still try and change the plot to give sqq a better life

cmon, he was an adult (even though in a teen's body) but he was just a normal human in the modern world before transmigrating into pidw! breaking the seal to get his demonic powers made it easier, but he was still living in hell, having to fights monsters all the time to survive, barely having time to rest, having to eat carcasses of the monsters he defeated, all the time he keep thinking how the original protagonist survived all that

when he finally got out, earlier than he expected, he tried going back to cang qiong mountain, but the system forced him to go to huan hua palace (he managed to get some points for unlocking hidden stuff like some hints of what happened to sxy or finding out stuff the opm did)

when he finally comes to jin lang city, his mission of winning his shizun's heart is back on! he sees him again while investigating the demons that are causing the deaths in the city, and when he finally gets to be alone with sqq (without the other huan hua palace disciples around him) he almost drops to his knees in front of him, but even without ooc alerts on his head, he still tries to keep in character

"shizun!" he let's his happiness for seeing him again slip for a second "we meet again, though you could get rid of me so easily like that?"

sqq has his face hidden behind his fan, but his eyes look angry and surprised

"dont call me shizun! aren't you with huan hua palace now? it's good that a beast like you didnt come back to cang qiong mountain"

"I wasn't given much of a choice" the system didn't let him "would shizun accept me back had I went there before going to huan hua palace?"

"of course not"

but even so, when qht (is that her name abbreviation?) showed up and sqq was accused of all the crimes people could throw at him, instead of instigating it, lbh tried what he could to free him without raising any suspicions, and without the system screaming on his ear

in the end, as much as he tried, the water prison was a crucial plot that the lbh couldn't convince the system to skip, tho he did make sure no once could go there other than him, to make sure others wouldn't try to hurt sqq

in the water prison, sqq keep thinking how strange it was that lbh not only came back, but the beast also managed to get into huan hua palace without no one discovering that he's a demon, and when faced with the opportunity to get his revenge towards sqq at jin lang city, he actually tried to prove him innocent..?

and even when lbh went to visit him, instead of beating him up or saying harsh things, he would actually just...... talk to him????

"I'm sorry I couldn't prevent shizun from being here, the old palace master is... difficult to deal with" "shizun, do you really hate me so much? is it just bc I'm a demon? or did I do something else to you?" "would shizun ever accept me back as his disciple?"

sqq would give him no answer most of the times, and when he did, it would be things like "stop playing nice, I threw you to hell and you say you wont do anything for that?" or "get out of my sight, beast"

during the time sqq was at the water prison, lbh would get into his dreams, either to try to find more about him or just to be hit with the fact that his shizun has constant nightmares and lbh always tries to turn them into good dreams

one day sqq was suddenly released, ofc lbh had to do some work for that, but he managed to free him

"see shizun, you're free bc I helped you, won't you accept me back as your disciple now? don't you think I deserve a second chance? I promise I'll be good, even as a half demon, I wouldn't do anything to put shizun in danger" his head was screaming with pleas like he was manifesting or calling for god's help, and it somehow worked, yay!

so lbh comes back with his shizun to the surprise of everyone, nyy is super happy to see him again, mf is.... not so happy with that

I didnt really thought much about after that, I might continue this post another day or just come back to it and change a few things (I definitely wanna write about the extra where sy comes back to the modern world but in this au) but basically lbh would get onto bingmei acting and be pathetic and slowly win sqq's heart

I originally planned to write fully how I thought the novel was like before reading, but since I knew absolutely nothing about the plot, all I thought about was how was their relationship after they got together and how the story was probably something mixing mdzs and Im in love with the villainess, so I decided to adapt the actual svsss story to whatever this turned into-
